Some are excusing the 49ers fans saying that the Vikings fans talked trash and shoved a woman so that is why he got beat up. But even if this is true. Still shouldn't have that many people gang up on one guy though.

Actually, I heard the Vikings fan was the one who started it. Yelling "Who wants some?" prior to the fight breaking out. ***** probably deserved what he got.

Parking lots in LA and SF have had some bad stuff happen the last couple of years. A couple of deaths even.

As disgusting as that was, this is the real puzzler for me....who gets a team jersey with anothe teams player on it? I would hope that his name was Romo....even still it seems weird.

I'm guessing his last name is Romo. And he got a generic 00 version of it.

I frequently traveled to SF during the early 90's... 49'er fans are among the most despicable trash in the NFL...

I had no problems in SF, and didn't see anything crazy. This was at the Jesse Holley game, so I'm guessing the bandwagoners were still in hiding. I want to go back. I loved that city.

I have never had a problem at various sporting events around California sporting my team gear......not once. Been to Candlestick, Oakland and SD for football. Also, been to SF, LA and SD to see the Mets.

Bottom line is......if you are looking for trouble, you will find it. Just mind your own business and 99.9% of the time it will be ok.

I'm from there. Never went to a 49ers game(shudder), but went to plenty Giants, A's, and one Raider game there. I also went to a Raider game in L.A.(vs. Browns), and it was pretty mellow. The Raider game I went to in Oakland(vs. Vikings) was a different story. They were getting in the face and trying to start fights with the Vikings fans the whole game. Candlestick with the Giants we used to call going there "Friday Night at The Fights", especially if the Dodgers were in town. Truly despicable behavior. Believe it or not, I've never seen a fight at an Oakland A's game. They went out of their way to promote a "Family Atmosphere", and they made sure it happened. I never saw bad behavior at a San Jose Sharks game(used to go to one a month), except by players on the ice. Looking at you Marty McSorley and Bryan Marchment.
