at some point you gotta call your best run play, ask your lineman to man up and kick the crap out of guy in front of you. if you want a chance to win lets get this first down. lets not get cute with your back up QB and call a roll out. man up and beat the guy in front of you. unfortunately our offensive coordinator doesnt believe in this philosophy nor does our head coach have the balls to challenge his players.

I have no problem with the play call. It was there. The DL simply made a great play. Play of the game. I have a bigger problem with us abandoning the run early in that drive.

Philly couldn't get 3 inches and are the best run team in the league.

Wasn't a great result but that's because Barwin made a great play.

I actually don't think the play was there like one of the posters said.. Murray would've caught the ball about 3 yards away from the sticks & Ryans had a great angle on him

thats not the point. at some point you need to just simply need to challenge your team to kick the other teams butt the old fashion way. instead we want to get cute and pass waaaaay too much. its the philosophy that is killing me.

personally, on a 4th and 1, I prefer a pass play to incorporate play action but again, hindsight is nonsense.

thats not the point.

It is the point. We all would like more balance in the offense but a lack of running the ball didn't mean that passing on that down was impossible to work OR that running it there was a Sure Thing that we'd get it.

The previous botched third and 2 plays where we threw the ball deep is where I have more of an issue with.

A fourth down call is a fourth down call.

and our oline has been the best part of our offense the second half of the season. at some point you put faith on them with your backup QB in and ask them to get you one more yard.
