Lets say he threw the ball to Witten. There were 3 Raiders right there waiting for him. There was no for sure thing he would score or even get the 1st down. Some of you say how Witten was wide open. Well I am pretty sure if Bledsoe was looking in Wittens direction and by the team he reached back to make that throw to Witten those Raiders would have at least seen it coming that way and woulda closed in on Witten and had a good chance at stopping him short of the 1st.

So if Bledsoe threw it to him and he was tackled short of the 1st I guess Bledsoe would get the blame for that one to and people would say how he shoulda thrown it to Glenn.

I aint gonna fault the QB who is the reason we are 2-2 instead of 0-4.

Just like the Commander game should not have come down to a few bad calls by the refs this Raider game should not have come down to that 4th down play.

There were far more problems then the 4th down play that cost us that game. Making such a big deal of this play is just lame when so many other things cost us.

I dont put any blame on Bledsoe. But I bet if he has a huge game that leads us to a win over Philly all those being so picky over this one play will all be sayin how good he is.

Well I know how good he is. He is very good. I wont let silly talk over 1 play change my mind on that.

Here is hoping for Bledsoe to have a huge game against Philly. :)

I agree. Bledsoe has been doing a very good job IMO. He has done very well considering the chances he has been given. I blame our two loses on poor play calling and game planing.

Bledsoe has been very good, I would like to see him take more shots downfield though. My best friend was at the Raider game and said that Glenn was open deep alot but Bledsoe won't pull the trigger. Some posters at the 49er game said the same thing. We have speed, I know Glenn can get deep and he has great hands. We gotta start taken shots and that will open things up for JJ running also...

Yeah, I also don't blame Bledsoe. The 4th down throw was one of his few bad throws all day.
The problem started on 2nd down when we did exactly what the Raiders thought we'd do, run to the left AGAIN! 5 yr olds are figuring out our playcalling formula.
2nd down should've been a playaction left and pass. Even if we don't get the TD on that play, we're still a threat to run the ball on 3rd. But by running the ball and getting stuffed on 2nd, Oakland KNOWS we HAVE to throw on the next two downs.
Once again, lack of imagination and variation.
My question on the 4th down play, was where is the middle route? There's got to be someone getting lost in the middle/back of the endzone. That would've been a contingency in case they covered the flats (like they did). How many TDs have we scored to Key in the corner? Enough for teams who scout to figure it out....

If we'd have called a completely different play on every offensive snap that game, we'd have won.

I thought the fade to Key on 3rd down was the worst call of the game and extremely poorly executed by Bledsoe. That being said, the 4th down pass was even worse. Glen had a good shot to get in, if the pass hits him in stride. I think the key here was, playing under center, bad coaching call. Should have been in shot gun to give Drew a better vision of the field, to keep the pressure off of him and maybe he wouldn't have rushed that last pass. But Drew B. is playing better than i thought he would, so my hats goes off to the man. There are other concerns i have about him but i will hold those a few more weeks to see if they play out like i think they will.

It's quite simple all four games have come down to asking Bledsoe to win the game in the closing seconds. He is what he is, a mediocre QB who has won two and lost two. As long as this team relies on Bledsoe to win or lose, this is a .500 team.

I agree we should be taking more shots downfield. With Glen's speed, even if we overthrow the play, it losen's up the safties and gives us more running room.

BTW, I don't have the stats, but it seems like we hit at least 50% of the deep balls we have thrown to Glen out there. I wonder what the league aveage is on balls over 30 yards...and we are in the top 10 (I'm not sure) then we should be taking more deep shots.
