:D the Pats are a great offense, but untimely penalties from our O in a close game is what really killed us, the D was on the field for pretty much this whole game, and our drives shortened by penalties in the 4th, during 2 good, looking drives, just put them right back out there, into the frying pan

what good I can take from this game is that our O is pretty good, we pretty much had our way w/ the NFL's 2nd ranked D, but those stupid penalties, my goodness, and 2ndly, this was a non-conference game, so we're still sitting pretty at 5-1 and atop the division

luckily we won't have to go up against Moss, Stallworth and Welker every week

Seriously - How can we be mad when we shot ourselves in the foot on offense. Every time we had momentum, we would get penalty after penalty after penalty.

And if you're going to be a top notch team, you can't have that many penalties. Our defense sucked basically. We couldn't stop anything they were doing, and if we are to meet that team again, we need to do something totally differently. Starting with constant blitzing. If they are going to score at will, may as well kill Brady.

At least Dallas is still first in the NFC. Two tiebreakers ahead of the Packers.

I'll take 5-1.

This team has work to do though.

Too many penalties. Too lax on 3rd down Defense. Still poor tackling on Special Teams.

5-1 is a great position to be in.

This is a good bump in the road. We will hopefully learn from this.

we so badly need Henry to comeback healthy and for Glenn to comeback to have another option when playing a good D...

We need to beat the Vikes, obviously. Then the game in the medaowlands looms large.

Yes, 5-1 isn't bad, but the way we played.......oh my!

Undisciplined.

We have no deep speed threat.

We allow yet ANOTHER QB to post career highs against us. Now THAT is ridiculous.

My Mantra: Screw the Mcfadden talk....give me some CB's!

I'm not dissapointed at all. Regardless of what people say we hung in there with the best team in the NFL. It was alot closer than the score indicates. This team knows it can get better. Hopefully we come out firing against Minnesota.

What pisses me off is that Brady goes down like a rag doll when he's touched, but we didn't touch him enough. Even our sacks were like playing patty cake. We should've at least roughed him up (legally).

another QB? this is Tom Brady, who's on pace to having a record year

how about that run-blocking? we pretty much had our way w/ New England's big front 7

Go back and look at the past couple of years....it could be the WORST QB to face us and they will set a personal record.

Brady has never thrown 5td's in a game....till now.

yeah, being 0-1 against a winning team proves it

btw, this is just any winning team, this is one of the most prolific winning teams in NFL history, 6 straight games of scoring at least 34 points

We'll be fine. We got rocked today, but now our guys have a taste of what it takes to be successful. Ultimately, all the wins mean nothing if you can't defeat a team this calibur somewhere down the road. At least this year, because the road to the superbowl is through this New England team.

Bledsoe had us 7-2 in 2005

That was a total beatdown we took today. We are not in Patriots league. To give up 50 points is pathetic. They beyond crowned us.

Also, what people keep forgetting is that we came off a short week after a tough game on the road. We didnt' have as much time to prepare and our defense spent way too much time on the field. Still, we stayed with them for 3 quarters, and there is no question in my mind that this is the best offense in the NFL. They have so many weapons and so much speed.

We will get better as we get more comfortable with this scheme. We should be at or close to full strength after the bye. Really, my only concern right now are the penalties. We've got to get a handle on those, especially the offensive line.
