Well the girlfriend and I took a trip to Miami, from NY, to watch the Boys play. We try to catch at least one Cowboy game a year, but might make it two this year since we're going to try and see the Giants/Cowboys game as well.
Anyway, here are 5 things I found interesting about the game:
1. Football players are big, Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo are giants. I've seen football games live, but we actually had pretty good seats this time, and those two were the easiest to spot at all times.
2. Dolphin fans have no heart. We took over the stadium. From the get go, at least in my section, the Cowboy fans were cheering louder and taunting the Dolphin fans more fiercely the whole game. By the fourth quarter, many of the fish fans had already decided to get a jump on traffic.
3. I believe now more than ever that Marion needs to get a chance to start and carry the load, we may already have the RB of the future on the roster. Some say he goes east and west too much, but I'm pretty sure all good RB's freelance to some degree, all I saw was Julius taking only what was right there in front of him and refusing to create anything for himself.
4. Romo is as mobile as anyone in the league. He may not be as big, fast or strong as Vince, but when it comes to escapability in the pocket, Romo needs to be discussed. There were a couple of times when he turned Dolphin cheering into hushed muttering, especially on that TD to Curtis.
5. Ken Hamlin will remain a Cowboy next season, he just makes plays. Also, league beware once Spencer gets the position learned. There was a lot of focus on disrupting Ware. We've gotten much better at closing out games, remember last season? Remember never feeling like any lead was enough? Not so much anymore.
Another thing I learned, is that humidity is murder. I'm from Austin, so I know heat, but 70% humidity and 90+ temperature, plus sun and NO BREEZE... if not for the fact that I had paid money to be there, you wouldn't have ever caught me in that situation by choice.
I know some of you were there, what'd you think?
