i assume the above was for me? I do not think we are on the level of Seattle or San Fran. But when I look at our schedule.....IF.....IF...we get to 10 - 6. We would have a chance to make the "Show". Remember...I said I would be "elated" with 10 - 6. I did not say I "expect" 10 - 6. But, we are better than 6-10. In fact...I am on record stating that we will be better than we were last year...and still might end up 8-8.....because our schedule is pretty tough. But anything is possible if we get to 10 - 6 with the schedule we have. Because I think 10 - 6 would indicate we are healthy and/or have quality depth...it could also mean our head coach is finally getting the hang of it...it could also mean we are a succesful running team....it could mean our new offensive coordinator has made us less predicatable....our young talent on defense is playing up to it's capability and/or draft status....and lastly, that our defense is not once again historically bad. Because when I think about the injuries, lack of quality depth, and historically bad defense last year....it is a minor miracle that we went 8-8.^^^^..so, getting to 10-6 is a risk. Does this team have the talent to make the "Show" once they get there. 46 years of playing, coaching studying, announcing , watching says ..no. so, it's not far fetched.
And, i agree with your breakdown. don't get it wrong. true enough but, from the stand point of we have great players.. good enough to hold strong on the big stage is a bit of a farce at this point. So, i guess we will have to agree to disagree. i want "More" better talent....and picking 16-to24 as a rule will lesson your chances. the other shot of obtaining top quality pros...does damage to cap space...lord knows Dallas needs a break there.i assume the above was for me? I also think fans should stop thinking we can SKIP the steps in the process of getting to the "Show". Jerry migh be the blame for this...because he is always talking Super Bowl. But Super Bowls do not fall out of the sky. Because we have been to 8 AND because he is running out of time...he tends to operate as if he can expedite the proccess. But it does not work that way. We are rebuilding....we need confirmation that we are progressing towards the "Show". But that confirmation might not come in the form of a Super Bowl apperance this year.
