Obviously BPA, never know what will happen, yada yada....

But I think the 2 injuries really had a butterfly affect on how we can approach the CB position in this draft.

Before it was assumed that Lattimore, Jones, and Humphrey would be gone and we would have some choice of Moreau, Conley, White, ect at 28 if we so chose. Now with the injuries it turns into Lattimore, Humphrey, and Conley that are assumed to be already gone with White or someone else also going before 28 as well. Leaving us with not much of a choice of the true safe blue chip prospects at CB.

Lattimore
Humphrey
Conley
K King
Moreau
White
Tankersley
Awuzie
Adoree

That's 9 CB's I'd call pretty close to locks to go between 1-59. That leaves us with at best the choices of: Q Wilson, Witherspoon, J Lewis, Sutton, R Douglas, H Wilson, Myrick, or an injured Sid Jones....and the top 2 of those could easily be gone as well.

Not saying that a few guys I didn't name can't turn out to be good players, but if we want a CB that can push Nolan Carroll from being our starting CB week 1 we are definitely going to have to have to take 1 at 60 or before, and even then we may need a little luck.

Dont sleep on Adoree being a first rounder. I dont know if he is gonna be on our radar. Moreau should be ready by TC, so I dont think his stock will be as effected as Jones. Stephen talked about playmakers in the secondary, so for all his athleticism we may have a low grade in him

Almost, but it doesn't have to be. I'm looking forward to seeing which pass rusher they pick, and which safety they go for, and what corners they come up with and what order they take them.

28 or 60 is going to be secondary. There's just too many good players in this draft for one not to be BPA there.

I'm wanting them to start bringing in the DB's on visits already. That'll basically tell us who they're going to take.

High 30's, they make a trade with one of the teams that is taking a qb in the back of the firsts round.

Yup...that's the rumor I keep hearing. Trade out of the 1st ....into the second...for a 2017 2nd and a 2018 1st rounder. Kind of like how we got the Demarcus Ware pick.;)

We may not get much now...but the reward later could be huge.

Not necessarily... Byron Jones offers us some flexibility in that he can handle Cb assignments, and I'm comfortable with our top 3 CBs as is. Certainly enough to not let that need sway me too from sticking to my BPA blueprint

That'd be nice, but I don't see us getting a 2018 1st rounder for dropping a few slots down from 28. Maybe a 2018 2nd or 3rd...or a 2017 3rd or 4th.

I don't know how one can conclude what the pick will be at 60 when you don't know what the pick at 28 is.

Trading back for picks in 2018 would be a gigantic fail..THIS draft is loaded...take advantage of that..we have significant holes that need to be addressed this year..
