Don't particularly care for Robinson as I have read he has been suspended twice. Also if we Get Joseph, we do not need Neal. Other than that, good job.

So if Frederick goes down, what's the plan? We definitely will have another interior guy who can play center on the roster, it would be neglect not to. whether it's a 6th round pick, an udfa or a free agent we bring in later, gotta address that

We'll have guys on the practice squad who will get called up if someone goes down. Happened last year at RB a few times. I think we only went into last season with 8 OL. But I'd hope we'd squeeze Leary in if that happened. Maybe slide Martin over to OC and Leary takes over OG. We haven't had a true backup OC on the roster in years. It's always been Bernadeau.

Bernadeau was a center though, has always played both, so I'd argue he was a true back up. Also, I don't think we brought RBs off the practice squad. We added a few street free agants in Turbin and Smith, but neither of them were starters due to injury. Frederick goes down, I don't think it's a good idea to have a practice squad player start at center.

I agree with you about Bernadeau. But I see it much more likely they slide Martin to OC and plug Leary in at OG than they play a 6th round draft pick.

I'd actually be down with this scenario....Potential Romo Successor, Potential Witten Successor (If he can learn to block) and Im very high on Karl Joseph...and then Day in the 4th? Man thatd be a helluva haul......

Problem with that is Martin no experience at center besides a few snaps in training camp.

And fwiw, we started last year with 9 OL.

The 5 interior guys (Frederick, Bernadeau, Leary, Martin and Collins) and 4 OTs (Smith, Free, Weems and Mills). I know at some point Mills was cut and Brown was brought in, and Weems was released early as well, but you can go thin at tackle because you had guards that could play tackle in Martin and Collins. There is literally no one else that can play center and I think it would be a mistake to go with that.
