first off we trade pick 16 with Cleveland for pick's 26(1st),71(3rd) & 122(4th) (the math works best in this scenario)
2nd we Trade Mr. Part time Bruce Carter to Jacksonville (he should be able to be used much like Bradley used irvin in seattle) for picks 138(5) & 163(6th). Normally I'd say we are getting jipped here but in this case with a record setting 98 underclassmen there will be plenty of depth to get some quality depth players here.
alright so here we go....

1st) 26 - Aaron Donald - 3DT PITT
6'1" 285LBS
Tackles - 59 / TFL - 28.5 / Sacks - 11

Aaron is a little short but a terror up the gut & in practically every scouting report i've read its mentioned he will only fit in certain systems, specifically Tampa 2 which makes me believe we can get this kid even with the trade down.

2nd) 48 - Kelcy Quarles - 3DT USC
6'4" 298lbs
Tackles - 39 / TFL - 13.5 / Sacks - 9.5

Having Aaron is great but we need depth to keep these kids fresh. Kelcy & Aaron, who I personally believe are the two best interior pass rushers in the draft, splitting time at the 3 Tech spot will give teams hell for a very, very long time.

3rd) 71 - Marcus Smith - Leo DE Louisville
6'3" 254lbs
Tackles - 42 / TFL's - 18.5 / Sacks - 14.5

Marcus is a special pass rusher but some believe he is undersized even at 254, I'm not sure he will be here in the 3rd but if he is we are in business to add depth to the speed rush positon behind the rapidly decling Demarcus Ware.

3rd) 79 - Martavis Bryant - WR Clemson
6'5" 200lbs
42 rec. 828 19.71 ypc

Bryant is guestimated to have 4.3 speed & at his height that is insane, Now he is not exactly the monster that will push people around out there seeing that he is only 200lbs but his speed would be great in the slot & his height would be highly advantagious in the end zone.

4th) 110 - Lache Seastrunk - RB Baylor
5'10" 210lbs
ATT -158 / TY - 1177 / YPC - 7.45 / 11TD's

I dont care what anyone here says we need another RB. Murray & Dunbar are great but can not be relied one due to there injury history, oh & Randle is a bust im saying it now. Seastrunk is a steal in the 4th & will be a great back up & could most likely handle the load if called upon.

4th) 122 - Chris Watt - OG Notre Dame
6'3" 321lbs

Mean,Violent. Two words that have been used repeatedly when asked to describe this guy. Yup I'll take em.

5th) 138 - Boseko Lokombo - OLB Oregon
6'3" 230lbs
Tackles - 63 / TFL - 7 / Sacks - 3 / INT - 1

I have no idea why this guy is rated so low, hes hardly under weight for a 4-3 linebacker & his production is consitantly solid. Whatever, sign em draft em & give him number 54.

5th) 147 - Telvin Smith - OLB FSU
6'3" 218lbs
Tackles - 90 / TFL - 9.5 / Sacks -2 / INT -3

This kid is rated as a 2nd or 3rd rounder & I agree thats where he should be drafted, but with a weight of 218 he will plummet or at least that is my belief & if he does I want him. The dude is a beast & if he falls come draft day he may play with a chip on his shoulder which I would welcome with open arms.

6th) 163 - Isaiah Lewis - SS Michigan St.
5'10" 208lbs
58 Tackles / 2 INT's / 8 Passes defensed.

Competition plain & simple, The kid looks solid on film & comes from a winning college. Pin him against Wilcox for the starting safety position & maybe then we can get rid of Jeff Heath for god's sake.

7th) 207 - James Franklin
6'2" 230lbs

The kid was a leader for his team, So much in fact that he has considered becoming a motivational speaker after his college days are over. He has solid measurables & fits the bill of the duo threat QB teams look for now adays.
I'd definitely take a flier on him in the 7th.... If not him most definitely Aaron Murray from Georgia.

7th) 210 - BJ Butler - FB Louisville
6'2" 274lbs

This kid is a monster at FB at 274, He's JC Copeland without the hype. Not to mention he can catch, They even lined him up at TE occasionally at Louisville.

7th) 215 - Spencer Long
6'4" 315lbs

You all probably know this kids story, 3rd rounder that falls because of injury, go get em Jerry.

7th) Comp - Garrison Smith - 3/1DT Georgia
6'3" 299lbs
Tackles - 63 / TFL - 10 / Sacks - 6

With production like that I havent the slightest clue why he is often ranked to go undrafted, He played NT for Georgia but can likely play both 1 & 3 for us.

Tenny Palepoi - 1DT Utah
6'2" 300lbs
Tackles - 53 / TFL - 9.5 / Sacks - 4.5

Star's running mate from Utah his the ideal build & stats of Rod Marinelli's previous 1Tech D Lineman. Between Garrison & Tenny we will have a starting caliber 1DT & for the cost of a 7th round pick. Winning!!

7th) Comp - Aaron Lynch - Leo DE USF
6'6" 244lbs
Tackles - 29 / TFL - 11.5 / Sacks - 5

Lynch is rated as a 4th or 5 th rounder but I dont agree he played poorly this year & not at all last year, ok so 2 years ago he did extremely well whoopy, whats he done lately? thats why he drops. boom

I like most of the players you are targeting but I think at least 6 of those guys are pretty unrealistic to be available where you have them going.

Just out of curiousity who are the 6 you are inferring too? I did pretty good research on value of each guy per aajority of mock websites. I assume atleast 2 of them are Telvin & lynch which I understand. The rest I am not sure of

Lewis and Long are the other 2 along with Smith and Lynch. The rest are arguable but I'd be surprised if Seastrunk lasted that long. And you said yourself that Smith is questionable to be available in the mid 3rd.

Of course it's still too early to get a real feel for all of this so no one can actually say for sure. Like I said though, you did a good job of targeting some good talent at positions of need.

Why in the world are we drafting 3 DTs that all fill the same spot?

Replace Quarles with Jones.

I'd also prefer Murphy or Crichton in round 2.

1st Donald, 2nd Murphy, 3rd Jones...that is a draft.

You sure we can get a 3rd and a 4th in exchange for dropping 10 spots? We traded down even further down in the 1st round last year and all we got was a 3rd. Plus, given how many holes CLE has, kind of think they'd want to keep as many picks as they can.

positive we got abused last year according to the trade chart & honestly Cleveland doesnt have many holes they have a great defense a above average oline & a top flight wide out in Gordon. Give them a a qb another WR & a RB and the are play off bound.

I'm drafting smith as a 1 but he could possibly play 3 as well. & if Crichton fell to us in the 2nd I would be very much excited to take him. honestly if we got murphy,Crichton, Jeffcoat, Quarles, Ferguson or even Marcus Smith depending how the draft is leaning in the 2nd round i'd be happy.

Jones? which jones, lots of Jones in the draft.

Long I am almost willing to bet money he will be there due to watching players like Chris Faulk from LSU go undrafted last year with the same exact injury & near same draft projection. not to mention with so much depth this year from all of the underclassmen why would teams take a flier on a player returning from injury any earlier than the 6th or 7th? Lewis I could see not being there but thats where the draft gurus tend to be ranking him.... Smith & Lynch are my own projections & completely agree that I could be way off with them

ooohh ok. Ya I dont personally think he will even be on our draft board, he's not Rod's type. Looking at our draft board that was leaked from last year & every DT that has ever been on a roster that Rod was a part of there was maybe one in his entire career that weighed over 310. I could be wrong though, people change & he would be a very good prospect at three I just dont see it though.
