Yeah, was expecting an update from the visual expression of excitement at the draft. Unless I missed Page 2, there was not a single word about how he has looked thus far on the field in spandex and a t-shirt. Wasn't worth the click.

I don't have a problem with Marinelli being excited about him, but the bottom of the 53 at defensive tackle isn't one of our weaker areas. We have Maliek Collins, Tyrone Crawford, David Irving at 3-tech and Cedric Thornton and Stephen Paea at 1-tech.

The only real chances they have are injury or Irving/Crawford having to start at end, so I would have preferred that we use those picks (Ivie, Carrell), or at least one of them, on positions where we have more questions marks. Throwing another DE or S in the mix wouldn't have bothered me at all, possibly even an RB to compete for the third spot.

I don't understand why we always seem to draw attention to guys like this. If he has that much potential, it would be nice to stash him on the practice squad without other teams knowing much about him. Not saying he's the next JJ Watt, but lets quit advertising these guys.....
