I remember almost everyone on this board singing the praises of the Cowboys front office for giving Tyrone Crawford that contract. The key word is "giving" because Crawford certainly hasn't earned it.

Looked like he had a shoulder harness on yesterday, I'm guessing he's hurt.

Still, healthy enough to play, healthy enough to produce.

I was one of the VERY few critical of that contract extension.i tried telling everyone how stupid it was to extend an unproven player and let him play out his contract

Is there any other team in the league that would pay him that right now? If not, then we overpaid.

Lol he has 3 sacks takes double teams on the reg. He's young , he's going to get better, especially when hayden is gone. Crawford is an above average DT who's only going to get better. Hardy has to go and so does Carr. We are young on the defense line. It will get better

Above average? We must be watching two different Crawford's

The Cowboys should never be afraid of letting a player hit FA. It gives you a real sense of his true worth. They can always match if they really like a player. Unless the player gives the team a deal they can't refuse, it is better to wait.

Giving a young player a contract based on what he might become is a recipe for disaster. TCrawford was supposed to blossom into a beast in Marinelli's defense but we haven't seen that yet.

Me too. Many others were saying we got a bargain because after he had a productive year it would cost a lot more to sign him. Just out of curiousity, when is the productive year supposed to happen?

LMAO.. So honestly what do expect? You need to take a look at the guy next to him who gets pancaked a couple times a game. Crawford gets doubled more then anyone else on our line and still gets back there. Rod marinelli is washed up. His infatuation with hayden is pathetic.

Go back and look at my posts. All I said was give Crawford's money to DM

He has a few sacks and takes double teams on the reg. We still have 7 games left

If Romo hadn't gotten hurt, we would have been at worst 6-3 with a lead in the nfc East. No one would have been talking about how 'awful' this contract is (even though with the low guaranteed money, it's barely a 2 season extension), or how awful the off season was (really, an off season where we gained Hardy, Collins and all our draft picks, many who show lots of potential, resigning McClain for cheap and locking up Dez is awful? Were any of you fans in 2009? This off season was one of the best since the 90s, hindsight is 20/20), or how big of a distraction Hardy and Dez are or how much we apparently miss Murray, even though most Eagles fans probably hate his current contract to what he's offering.

I'm as pissed as the next guy, but let's keep some perspective here.
