92-95 Cowboys, will we ever see their likes again?

I'm a big time nostalgic fan, it seriously pains me inside when I think of the 12 years we've had to endure without a play-off win. I miss that era so much and I keep telling myself that we'll regain that swagger and dominance once again, but my brain tells me that no team will match those years.

Yes, this years team will be better.

Last years team had a better regular season record.

It will happen again. It may not be the Cowboys who duplicate it but it will happen again. Heck, it's already happened if you want to get down to brass tacs. New England Pats 2001 thru 2004.

Not quite as good in my opinion they needed the tuck rule and didnt even make the playoffs in 2002. Pretty darn close but not quite the original.

Yea but those Patriots teams couldn't match the swagger and popularity that those 'Boys teams had, not even close. To me that's what seperates those Dallas teams from all the other great ones. Those Dallas teams are unmatched in terms of talent, star power, and popularity.

Agreed. In addition, they have 1 for sure Hall of Famer(Brady) and we have 2 and counting. They didn't dominate there Super Bowl victories like the Cowboys did.

Sure, from 2008 till 2011. ;)

I'm on board with that. Why not?

How about four Super Bowls from 2008-2011?

The only thing that would suck about that would be not winning it in 2012.;)

Is it the 2010 or 2011 SB scheduled for Arlington?

dunno. i'd rather make the comparison to the 1971 'boys, and the answer to that one is absolutely, unequivocally, emphatically

...no...

I'd say probably not...this current team has quality talent, but hasnt so far shown that clutch ability to win big games, to put teams away late in games where we lead or to finish seasons...those were all key traits of those 92-95 teams

and frankly this team just isnt as talented overall as those teams were...Aikman was a better player than Romo...Irvin was a better player than TO, Emmitt was a far better RB than anyone here now...Harper was better than any of our 2nd WR's...that OL was vastly superior from a technique and consistency standpoint...the defense was better at rushing the passer and there is a HUGE discrepency betwen this groups special teams and those championship teams

not saying this team wont win a championship, but when you cant even win one playoff game its hard to say that you will somehow repeat or exceed what a team that won 3 championships in 4 yrs (and very easily could have been 4/4) did

IDK those teams IMO were the best ever that offensive line was so dominating great QB, great RB, great FB , great WR, great TE
and a defense that could fly around to the ball like no other so I gotta say NO
