We are losing the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Every single answer you want, every problem you have with this team, everything goes right there. AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

It is extremely easy to see this team goes exactly as the O-Line goes. And honestly our O-Line just is not very good.

Our 2 tackles are just killing us. So is everyone else, but Allen. Ever since Flozell went down this team just has not been the same.

Everything starts up front in the NFL, you have to win that battle or nothing else matters, I dont care who you have at your skill positions.

Our problems on the O-Line effect everything we do, everything. Pass, Run, control the clock, turnovers, and playcalling. If you cant block them you have no chance.

We have to go out and Rebuild this O-Line this off-season and be agressive with it. THAT IS THE KEY, and if we succesfully do that this team will contend next year, no question in my mind.

Now what has puzzled me is what has happened to our front 7. I have no answers here. All of a sudden we are getting pushed of the line 3 or 4 yards every dang play. I dont understand it. Ware has been getting killed on the left side. Maybe it is just we are so young in the front 7 and these guys have not seen this level for so many games, but goodness this has me just baffled.

Pure and simple you lose the line of scrimmage you lose the game, today we got dominated.

Tucker gave up 4 sacks to Daniels, who had 2 up to this game. Pretty pathetic.

Would Marc Colombo have done any worse?

It's not just our tackles. Rivera and Johnson both played like dirt and Larry Allen is the best of a bad group, which isn't saying much for him.

What would you give up to move up high enough to get D'brickashaw Ferguson in the draft? He would anchor our Oline ofr a decade right out of the block.

I agree they have been losing the battles at the LOS on both sides of the ball for over 5 weeks now and it finally caught up to them and in a big way. They were 2nd in sacks and 3rd in ypc defense early in the season now they are 28th in ypc defense and have dropped to 13th in sacks. They are 30th in ypc on offense and 21 in protecting Bledsoe. Its clear they have to upgrade the front 7 on D and the Oline if they are going to move forward.

I wouldn't move up - we have too many needs to be giving away picks to move up the draft board, with all due respect to Ferguson..

I agree with you on the offensive side of the ball. I think a change is coming on the o-line this week. I think we'll see Colombo somewhere.

On defense, I'm not so sure it's the lines fault. When you play 3-4, you expect your linebackers to make plays. We had some good ones in Dat and Singleton, no matter what some people say. Since they've been gone, we've lost a lot. Probably as much as the loss of Flozell has done to our o-line.

Dat used to kill the skins when he played. I gurantee you that WR screen play to Moss today, Dat would have tackled him for a loss.
He was master at sniffing out those types of misdirection plays.

Very true Sarge...not defending Tucker or Pettitti who both were bad, but two of the sacks given up by Tucker came while he was blocking his guy and Bledsoe slid right into the defender trying to get away from the rush up the middle.
