now that Ftiz is locked up Boldin could be up for grabs. from rotoworld

With Larry Fitzgerald having completed his four-year, $40 million deal, Anquan Boldin now makes three to four times less annually than Fitzgerald.
We haven't seen Fitzgerald's salaries yet, but Boldin's is only $2.5 million in 2008. NFL Network's Adam Schefter believes the same teams that targeted Fitz in trades could now pursue Boldin. He hints at the Cowboys, Commanders, and Eagles as possibilities. Q would fit terrifically in a West Coast offense.

So basically Schefter is trying to trade Boldin. The Cardinals sure aren't.

It would be a nice acquisition.
I don't know, Hos. Boldin's a great receiver, but he's also missed alot of games the last few years...and last year was one big injury.

Injury or no Injury i would still snag him, i think he's the best WR at using his body and strength to his advantage, and mite i add i think he is the strongest WR in the league, hands down

TO is right there though

This whole post is BULL****. I watched the segment in question and it makes absolutely NO MENTION of the Cardinals having any interest in trading Boldin or teams that maybe interested. That is a complete fabrication.

What the segment did say was that the Cardinals tried to re-do Boldin's contract in the middle of the season. Boldin declined, prefering to wait and see what they did with Fitzgerald's contract (assumingly to use those parameters as a starting to point for his own contract negotiation). What Schefter did say is that the problems that they had solved with Fitzgerald (by extending his deal) didn't disappear, per se, they were just shifted now to Anquan Boldin. It was also stressed by Schefter that AT NO POINT was there any consideration of trading Fitzgerald by the Cardinals. The Cardinals conceded that they were contacted by a handful of teams about Fitzgerald's availability, but were quickly turned away.

You're saying that the two are equal in your mind? Great receivers when healthy?
No, I'm saying I think we're going to take a stab at him on Draft day.

Boldin unhappy with Fitzgerald's emergence?

After a fast start to the season, Anquan Boldin has been very quiet since Arizona's Week 8 bye. While still showing some aftereffects from a hip injury that forced him to miss three games, Boldin has caught only 16 passes for 212 yards and a touchdown over the last four weeks.

He's taking a backseat to Larry Fitzgerald in the offense and there are indications Boldin isn't happy about it. Using our targets report, I decided to check if Boldin's displeasure had merit.

Over the last four weeks, Larry Fitzgerald has 48 targets to only 27 for Boldin. As you'd expect, Fitz has roughly double Boldin's yardage over that time, and has scored five times to only once for Boldin. Fitzgerald actually leads the NFL in targets for the season and should break the career highs he set in 2005 under Dennis Green, a season he was the WR2 in fantasy football as a second-year player.

Boldin has always been one of my favorite NFL players for his consistency and after-catch ability. Since Fitzgerald has arrived in Arizona, the two have roughly been equals in real life and fantasy. Fitzgerald has superior overall skills, and it looks like he's finally taking the lead position. Boldin can still be a solid WR2 in fantasy leagues if this keeps up, but he has to accept his role. It's something to watch closely over the final month.

Boldin over Roy Williams?

I guess the debate is on... at least while the rumors run amok - thanks to guys like Shefter. I've never thought about it. Williams' speed is better, but Boldin is a horse in the open field.

Neat. I see no mention of a trade, the Dallas Cowboys, or Adam Shefter.

Like I said BS.
