couldn't get the Fitz rumors to be anything so might as well just try another player on the same team.

Well, I don't know of a trade but there are only so many ways Jerry can make a wow acquistion on offense.

A trade before, during or after the draft.

Who are the WRs in the league who may be had in a draft pick for player trade and has a wow factor?

I personally think Williams would be a better fit for us, but it's hard to argue w/ Boldin's production.

I guess it really depends on what you're looking for. I think Roy's a bigger big play threat whereas if you're looking for a move the chains sort of guy Boldin's your man. Roy has a higher ypc avg and just as many TDs in 13 fewer games whereas Boldin has the clear advantage in # of receptions and receiving yds.

Couldn't go wrong w/ either, but I think I'd prefer Williams slightly over Boldin.

good points. Besides, Roy wants to be here. Or at least somewhere here in Texas...

Well, I guess that must mean Dallas.

I would think that if Arizona has a receiver the caliber of Boldin costing the Cards only $2.5 million in 2008, they would be jumping for joy, not trying to get rid of him.

Between Fitzegerald and Boldin, I have always maintained that Boldin is the more talented WR.

If your teams needs a tall, redzone leaper type then Fitzgerald is your man.
But if your team needs a compliment to your current bigger WR (Dallas/Owens) or a deadly possesion guy, it gets NO better than Boldin.

He is a rare combination of size and ability. I'd trade a 1st, no question.

That said, I don't see him going anywhere.

With Larry Fitzgerald having completed his four-year, $40 million deal, Anquan Boldin now makes three to four times less annually than Fitzgerald.
We haven't seen Fitzgerald's salaries yet, but Boldin's is only $2.5 million in 2008. NFL Network's Adam Schefter believes the same teams that targeted Fitz in trades could now pursue Boldin. He hints at the Cowboys, Commanders, and Eagles as possibilities. Q would fit terrifically in a West Coast offense.

Sounds to me, like Dallas tried to get that wow person in Fitzgerald.

Hell, the Giants might as well be included in this too. It'll be a contest to see who in the NFC East can snag him up.

I should have seen this coming. The Fitz dreams that wouldn't go away, and never had any legs to begin with, have crashed and burned so now I guess it's only logical that people are just going to pick another person and come up with rumors for him to Dallas now.

Boldin is tough! He is a good blocker, hard to bring down and he played QB in a game for FSU. I remember watching it. So he could serve as the emergency QB(it'd be between him and Crayton)

i know its the offseason but come on people this rumor has lil to no merit to it and the link and article WG posted said that Boldin was upset about balls thrown his way and wanted to see how much the valued Fitz before he restructed his deal.

ANQUAN BOLTIN’?
Posted by Mike Florio on March 11, 2008, 10:32 p.m.

Now that the Cardinals have locked up receiver Larry Fitzgerald at a more affordable (or, as the case may be, less unaffordable) price over the next four seasons, they might have to deal with another thorny issue at the position.

According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, Anquan Boldin could want more money and/or a trade in the wake of Fitzgerald’s $10 million-per-year contract.

Per Schefter, some in the Cardinals organization actually regard Boldin as the better wideout. But Boldin will make far, far less than Fitzgerald over the next three seasons — he’s due to earn base salaries of $2.5 million, $2.75 million, $3 million in 2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively.

In our view, Fitzgerald and Boldin together is a luxury that the Cardinals don’t need, especially with coach Ken Whisenhunt presumably trying to bring a Pittsburgh-style power running vibe to the desert.

Assuming that the Cardinals have a plan (which could be a dangerous assumption because we’re talking about, you know, the Cardinals), the huge deal given to Fitzgerald should be regarded as evidence that they’ve opted to keep Fitzgerald over the long haul, and to get what they can for Boldin.

Throw in the fact that Boldin is represented by Drew Rosenhaus, and the stage is set for Boldin to start making noise about moving on.

Possible destinations are Philly, Dallas, and the Commanders.

If the Cards think they are going to lose Johnson, why would they deal Boldin? Fitz is good he can't do it alone at WR.
