This off season could end up pretty nice. You trade the 28th and Ayodele for Boldin.(Even if the Skins wanted him and were crazy enough to give up their first and Betts they wouldn't be able to pay him what he is going to want after Javon Walker, Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald's new deals and T.O. is expected to cash in to.) Then ya Trade the 5th for Pacman draft Jordy Nelson in the 3rd Justin King in the 4th trade the 5th for Pacman and package Carpenter, Spears and 2 1st rounders to move up and grab McFadden at 3rd or 4th overall. Or you plan to draft Jones and if McFadden Slides down to 7th you make the trade with the Pats.
Next year if T.O. is asking for some crazy number you franchise him and make a trade then ya sign Roy Williams to fill T.O.'s void.
There are alot of options at CB and WR. We need to look at the best RB in the draft and try to get a hold of him. I mean What if McFadden turns out to be AP? That would open up some huge holes for Boldin, T.O. and Witten. If teams decide to key up on them then McFadden can burn them in the run and on dump offs and screens.
That's a big "what-if" right there. What if he's the next Reggie Bush, which he bears more resemblence to?
1. Boldin
2. Pacman
3. Ricky
4. McFadden
5. King
6. Nelson

Lots of hope, not much fact in this. Boldin is going to be great... Pacman could change his ways, but I don't think the safe money is there. Ricky could stay clean, but again, you are putting a lot into a scenario that isn't expected to work out. McFadden will be a rookie, if Ricky gets hit for weed again, you've got a guy who may be great, but may not. And King and Nelson, nothing is guaranteed and it's a reach to think they'll end up contributing a whole lot this year.
So let's say Ricky gets busted (would you bet against it), Pacman does too (again, is that something you're willing to bet against), McFadden turns out to not light the world on fire. Two years down the line, you let TO go, have no running back, you'll probably have let Henry and maybe Newman get away and are banking on Nelson and King to play #1 at their spots. A lot of risk but also a lot of reward. It may pay out, but I think you need to balance the risk with some safer bets. Diversify your portfolio as it were.
