Of all of the many things that will get scrutinized this offseason, the one thing that seriously needs to get looked at is the circus-like environment that surrounds the Dallas Cowboys. The constant national media exposure, the overdriven hype of star players, Jerry's constant need to be in the spotlight...

Is it any wonder that in an environment such as this that a disciplined and battle-hardened team could ever be produced? How can a head coach and his staff ever succeed in a place like this? How can the players ever live up to all of the past legacies and being constantly distracted by the hype, the exposure, the expectations, the glitz and glamour of a storied franchise.

Now I have no idea how you would go about changing such an environment, but it seems to me that the best thing that could happen is for the spotlight to be put away and just let this coaching staff and these kids get back to the fundamentals of playing good football.

...for change is not that far away. Parcells used much of it for what would be the base of an improved organization.

No talking to the media except the head coach. Jerry doesn't get a microphone at all.

No "Hardknocks". A culture of accountability. Slogans on the doorways, weightroom, etc. letting the players know that someone is watching them.

You don't have to scream and swear at them on national tv, but at least let the players know you are watching and they will have consequences.

No days off during the season. Make it mandatory for players to sacrifice their time off to be at Valley Ranch.

I said this weeks ago and was laughed off this board. I was accused of being a 'new' fan. I was told it has been this way always, so this should not surprise anyone. I said BS then and I say it now. The questions Wade gets in his press conference is proof that the LOCAL media see's a green light to turn this organization into hollywood. His press conferences are something straight out of TMZ. The tenor and questions WOULD NEVER have been floated when Parcells was around. Ask yourself WHY the media thinks it is OK to behave in this manner. Ask yourselves why every player seems to be on 1st and 10 or some other radio/TV show. Bobby Carpenter is on ESPN more without his uniform off...than he is with it on. Do you think this would happen if we were a focused, REAL football team in the thick of a playoff race. On a team with REAL Super Bowl aspirations? The owner has given any and evereyone in this organization the green light to "sell, sell, sell". And then the owner has the nerve to blurt out "what the **** is going on here?" when the media pressed him on the status of Wade....as if they KNEW the game was already lost. How can he ask that question to the monster HE created?

It was sickening watching the Dolphins w/ Parcells, Sparano turn that club into winners in one season. We had the ingredients, but in this climate couldn't make it happen.

Jerry said it best on Hard Knocks in the first episode "I don't know about you, but I like to perform on Broadway"

Jerry Jones is a fool.

That dull roar everybody has heard increasing as this season wore on is the sound of laughter at him and it is no longer a polite snicker, it has risen to an unabashed roaring guffaw as Jerry continues to be a laughing stock and he's too stupid to realize it or care as he thinks he's outsmarting everyone.

I've been ignoring work too long now and I need to get back to work.

This team is not my problem, it's Jerry's and he's not going to do anything to improve it because he doesn't see that there is a problem.

Jerry is a glitzy, glorius, glittering loser who has brought the Cowboys down with him. Not my problem.
