A couple of interesting nuggets on Ebertflus and the D

I knew he was average before the year started but I knew he was TRASH when Caleb Williams was asked about him amd basically said he knows what eberflus is going to do.....and then he proved it. Any coordinator worth a damn would've had the perfect game plan for his former qb but not eberflus.
 
If there's ANYONE on here that can say to themselves "I didn't see this coming" you're clearly a part of the problem!!! From now on when we play teams like this, we should NOT say anything about the Cowboys in a positive manner about them winning the game until there's 0 seconds on the clock and we're up by 1 point!!!

This foolish owner just cant get over his propensity of hiring coaches hes familiar with. I also dont think its going to get much better with whomever they bring in next. The best DCs are going to want to be paid, and jerry doesnt like paying coaches. Its why they allowed Saleh to go to San Fran

Eberflus has reached Nolan, Kiffin, Rob Ryan territory as being the worse DC's we have had here in recent years. There is no way they can sell bringing him back. However, think our DL Coach has a chance to stay due to his prior relationship with Williams.

I wonder why Ol Jerry thinks he has to hire the defensive coordinator, do you think it will dawn on him that he is not good at it. Or will Ol Jerry just keep killing the team before next season with another coach, who 's scheme does not fit the personal. Eberflus stunk as a defensive coordinator.

Others numbers may be worse, but he is horrific.

Man, I was talking to my mom (BIGTIME Cowboys fan) about that on Sunday night. Eberfuls needs to go. I expected to see the firing yesterday morning, but it's best for all parties to move on.

Don't forget about Brissett throwing for 261 yards and 2 TDs in the Cardinals game. Flus is the clown of the NFL and so are the Cowboys by association.

He hires all of the coaches from head coach all the way down to the waterboy coach (unlike most teams that let the head coach bring in who they want to work with)

I don't think we needed any more information on how he sucks, and needs to not be on this team, but let's hope our front office understands how silly it is giving them the vote of confidence, saying, hey finish strong, and you might keep your jobs. :facepalm: :popcorn:

But yes I actually brought this up before we played Chicago and what not like he should know that division he should know that team and somehow we got our **** beat worse by those teams, it's why he got fired from the Bears, and why he should not last past this season with the Cowboys..

we all get it please Cowboys please football gods give Jerry the information he needs to make sure the last Monday following the last game whatever they call that Black Monday or whatever fire EberPOO...
 
The problem is that Jerry will replace him with someone equally bad which is what his history shows. It's been like this for a long time, there;s no hope.

That's absolutely false Dan Quinn in one all season fix with Mike Nolan broke may not have been perfect but Dan Quinn's three years here were not worse it wasn't bad quality II don't get what you're trying to intimate I mean hell Washington thought so much of him they made him the head coach yeah that's how bad he was he was hired as a head coach wow how do we get lost in words like history shows.

That's not what history shows and doubts that some good defensive coordinators here at one time or another I mean even at one point Mike Zimmer was pretty damn good so was Wade Wilson.. We're looking at recent history dan Quinn just left I mean he replaced a really bad Mike Nolan after year one How much of a comparison a parallel is there that?

So yeah some of the things people say on here that are not accurate you should just not say anything at all..

That said I don't think you can have a worse defensive coordinator than a guy who wants to run cover three zone all the time and has no issue in trying to force his scheme on a roster full of players that prefer to play man I don't think you'll ever find another coordinator that's unwilling to adjust his defense to his roster this was a really bad choice not because they knew he'd be a bad DC they had no idea his ego was so big and that he was so unflexible that it would be this bad..

Like even last year mike Zimmer he wasn't worse than Dan Quinn as a matter of fact he finished the season where he had his team in the last half of the season leading the league in turnovers and sacks..

I guess in hindsight they should have kept him but I don't think he wanted to be the DC here I think he either wanted to be a head coach or retire and he retired I believe but but you're really off base i'm not going to go on any further I think you get the point you were wrong your statement is absolutely false....
 
I hope Wash doesn’t fire Quinn after this years debacle . I could see Jerry wanting him back to find more Marquise Bell gems .

I agree. But maybe tied for worst DC hire with Mike Nolan in 2020. It sounds unbelievable but Eberflus' defense is statistically much better than the Nolan disaster.
