1. Daks Poise and Patience...we definitely have our QB of the Future. Competition should start next year for the starting spot. He can still learn from watching Romo if and when Romo is totally healthy. There still no need to rush him back as long as we keep winning.

2. Dez's "immaturity" is not a ME OVER TEAM immaturity. Yes he can handle some situations better, but he clearly still loves football, and he loves this team. His passion for the game has not left him since getting paid.

3. As Mo Claiborne continues to gain confidence, he is only going to get better. He is the only CB on our team who looks for the ball while it is in the air, and his fundamentals are better than decent. We hurt his development a lot putting him a lot with our early defensive scheme in his early years. Mo is a man corner. Mo was the reason we stopped our first drive today when the game could have gotten out of hand, and he balled out int he 4th to secure the victory when Butler tried to mess that up. (More on this later).

4. Zekes patience is gradually coming. He still needs to develop a little more patience, and then the league should beware.

5. For all those who question Dez's WR ability and think that Beasley is our best receiver....evidently opposing Defenses still think Dez is our number 1 guy. Beasley saw more attention than he has seen in the NFL. He all but disappeared until the last play to seal the game, and then the Niners D was as shocked as I was that the Cowboys called an unexpected play to seal the game. Side note..Our outside WR saw more action than they seen in a while. It truly proves that Dak is not whistling dixie when he says he goes through his progressions and throws to the open man.

6. All of our receivers (including TE) need to up their situational football thinking ability: Taunting Penalties, Not getting out of bounds, Fighting for needless yards and fumbling or getting injured, False starts....Somethings got to give.

Great post, I've never understood by people think an elite athlete playing a violent game would have the personality of the cast of "Friends".

Your guess is as good as mine. Nor do I want him to have that personality, and I personally enjoyed watching the cast of friends.

Almost everytime Anthony Brown has been targeted he'll snap his head back to try and locate the ball.

Im sorry. I was speaking of Carr and Scandrick. Ive liked what Ive seen from Brown as well. Looking for the ball seems to be a lost art in college and the NFL. But then again I watch the sooners and the cowboys more than I watch anyone.

I'm not ripping on "Friends", I was just making an absurd comparison.

But now I have a mental picture of Dez Bryant doing Matthew Perry's voice and saying "Could my knee BE any more healthy??"

I didnt take it as a rip on friends at all. I was agreeing with you.

What I learned was Romo has lost his job.

After the game..

Jerrah was asked again if Romo was going to be the starter when he was healthy..

For the first time Jerrah said "we'll have to see"""

That's a very different answer Han 2 days ago.

Romo has been demoted.

It shouldn't but it will hinge on these next games. We are about to play some very quality teams. Packers and Bengals. If we lose both, it will make the decision easier and most likely go back to Romo. I for one think Dak should be the starter the rest of the time no matter what. Let him grow.

The show and cast of Friends was cliche and tried for forced humor.
And answer me this, old fellow, why did the cast always look so down and anxious and worried on the starbucks couch? Gen X in perpetual angst.
Bloke, how do such self-absorbed people function ...oh, I get it, it is a TV show with no relation to reality.

I agree.

You have to stop making Romo the reason we don't win at the higher levels.

I'd prefer to lose with DAK if that's what it takes to accelerate his development.

Losing with Romo would just be another loss for his notches in his lipstick case with nothing gained.

Just my opinion.

Yep. Dak is a rookie and will hit some lows. We are not contending for a SB this year with or without Romo. I'd rather Dak play knowing it is his team and not looking over his shoulder waiting for Romo to take his place.

If this was a freak injury Romo had and he was younger, then sure, let him have his job back. But it is just a matter of time before he gets hit and done yet again. He will never even get close to playing a full season again. And it will take him a few games to shake off the rust. If we are fighting for a playoff spot, do we have patience for that? The NFC is wide open and we can make the playoffs even if we can't win the East.

Difference now is Romo is no longer our savior. It's now a divided fanbase. Romo's leash with the fans will be extremely short.

What I learned was that, after 4 games, Dak is more mature, focused, poised, and committed to winning than Tony Romo was after 5 years in the league.

Dak does not make impulsive throws with the game on the lines, he takes great care of the ball. He understands the big picture so he will never make a comment to the effect that losing a playoff game isn't that big of a deal in a person's life.

Dak won't take a trip down to a beach resort during a playoff bye. He won't have a celebrity girlfriend show up at a game to create publicity and add incentive to an opponent.

Dak is never going to be told that he has to take a leadership role with the team. He is a leader today and no one is going to have to teach him

That taunting penalty was an utter joke.

I still try and convince myself that they are still really playing football out there but then I see crap like that and think that the joke is really on me for watching it.

I agree.

Because the ownership has never allowed competition with Romo by never drafting or signing a competent QB..

we have been forced to commit a decade to Romo and never got the benefits of winning anything.

That shortly over with.
