You know I knew something was wrong on defense last year when: 1) you call a defense that puts a 5' 4" Aaron Glenn on 6' 5" Roy Williams 1 on 1 twice and 2) your best cover men (our cb's) release the wr's to our worst cover men (our safeties) in the most dangerous part of the field (deep). Now that just philosophically wrong. Goodbye and good riddance bill.

I believe you shorted Glenn about 6 inches. If you were trying to use hyperbole to make a bad point, that was just stupid.

Here is the real difference in their sizes.(Though Williams was more like 6-2 and change at his rookie combine)

Aaron Glenn 5-9 185
Roy Williams 6-3 220

Certainly not a match-up in our favor. Even though Aaron's better than 5' 4", still not good.

1. Glenn is 5'9" and Roy is 6'2" (combine measurement).

2. That defense is played by EVERY defensive coordinator to ever coach at any level of football. It's called a cover 2 Zone and Bill Parcells has nothing to do with it.

3. I hope you learned something today.

DeMarcus Ware already sacked Kitna, therefore it does not matter--BTW there is a fumble on the play Ware hit him so hard.

You folks crack me up. Here you complain about mismatches.

Just what do you expect from a Wade Phillips D that focuses on attacking the QB? What do you think you get when you go aggressive like that? That's the trade-off, attack the QB with extra guys and you get some serious mismatches.

Yep. Coach Landry once said you live by the blitz and you die by the blitz. There is nothing wrong with Dallas being more aggressive but the rusher better get to the QB or you’re going to see matchups that will favor the offense as the QB's get the one on ones they are looking for.

Shhhhh....we don't want to ruin the misconception that San Diego's defense played SOOOOO much better than ours the past few years.

Sacks mean EVERYTHING.

2006 34 Sacks Passing Defense 24th 219.0 YPG
2005 37 Sacks Passing Defense 11th 192.7 YPG
2004 33 Sacks Passing Defense 21st 220.1 YPG
2003 32 Sacks Passing Defense 1st 164.4 YPG
2002 24 Sacks Passing Defense 19th 215.6 YPG

As you can clearly see, sacks do not make a Pass Defense great.

Our 2003 team was ranked 1st, but only had 32 sacks.

The Cowboys needed to draft a quality, blue chip corner.

It didn't matter that game either when in the red zone 5'9 Dre Bly was on 6'3 T.O and not one ball was thrown his way.

Dre' Bly must be Champ Bailey. No wonder Romo didn't throw his way in the red zone.

Either Romo has no nads or Bill's leash was tight.

No wonder Denver traded for Champ Bailey's clone....

Your blue chip will be burnt toast without pressure on the QB.

But keep 'em coming. They're not original or anything..
