A good point some folks are missing about the QB change

Romo's NOT in it alone. Look at the set of skill players around him. T.O, Glenn, Crayton, Witten, JJ, and Barber. Pretty nice in all reality and a dayum site more than most young QB's get. In fact better than most any QB gets. All Tony has to do is SLOW DOWN a bit and let the game come to him, take whats given, and use his head. He has the skill to make the big play with his quick feet and quick release, now all he has to do is slow the game down. Just put the ball in the hands of the playmakers Tony and everything will be alright. BUT, dont get rid of all the farvishness...LOL There will come a time when we need YOU to be the playmaker too.

I agree. I'm expecting a win this week. Can't say I've expected a win outside of the Texans game all season.

The move puts everyone on notice.

If an affirmed "Parcells Guy" like Drew Bledsoe can get the ticket to the bench, nobody is safe.

Patrick Watkins. Beware of Marcus Coleman.

Marcus Spears. Watch out for Jay Ratliff.

Marc Colombo. The object in your mirror may be Jason Fabini.

I applaud the courage it took to do it. Now we shall see if it pays off.

For one thing, Bledsoes utter lack of a quick release has really hampered this team. Ive always thought his slow release is BY FAR a bigger problem than his immobility. He just really needs to hold the ball forever. Then, to make matters worse, he takes the sack instead of simply throwing the ball away. I really believe Romo's quick release and escapabilty will unlock the playmaking potential of the skillplayers on this team. Also think eventually it opens up the running game too.

Absolutly, that is why I am excited.....ROMO's ability to move in the pocket should also make this skill players better....the OL better and hopfully our team better.

I'm disheartened all around. This team has deeper issues then Bledsoe's release. Poor route running, dropped passes, poor blocking, patchy return coverage, invisible DE play, Ayodele the Free Agent bust, Watkins the rookie being psyched-out, failing to finish off a blitz or sack resulting in the burning of the safties. I just don't know what to say.

And another thing!....LOL Heres the book on Romo as Ive read in scouting reports AND have seen with my own TWO EYES........The guy is GREAT throwing the ball between the numbers, middle of the field. Well, that just happens to be our biggest offseason aquisitions strong point. T.O LOVES the middle of the field, good rac yard after the catch. BTW....Witten isnt none to shabby in that department either.

Ayodele the Free Agent bust

How is Ayodele a free agent bust? I am not debating whether he is or isn't, I am just curious how this conclusion was reached.

I remember myself and several others were quite interested why everyone was so eager to sign him as a free agent and asked for a reason why and never received it.

He leads the team in tackles but they're never for losses they're always after considerable gains, he doesn't blitz, he allows runningbacks to make yards on screens, how is a man that is average at best worth close to 20 million dollars?

A 3-4 ILB isn't going to get the chance to have many TFLs.

I myself was NEVER very high on signing Ayodele. Tell ya why, some will understand, some wont...............To me Akin is one of those SAFE players. I cant stand those kinda guys. All they care about is NEVER looking bad. In otherwords, a guy like Akin will chalk up quite a few tackles by the end of the year, but will he actually change a game........NOPE. Cuz he always takes the safe road. Like a stat padder ya know. Thats not for me. That was the biggest thing I had against a certain starting QB we had around here a few years back. There would be a guy running open in the midrange area and he would dump to a back. STAT PADDER.........!!!That way he could say well look!...My completion percentage wasnt bad. NAWWWWWWWWWW. I like the GAME CHANGERS. Nothing great was ever accomplished by playing it safe.

It helps immensely to finally get a chance to throw to those weapons in practice every day now. I also expect a win this Sunday. :)

Well, does it have to be 6 yards down field? Can he bat down a pass, strip a ball, pick one off, blitz?

Parcells stated in the press conference we would see Coleman this week.

Have we been susceptible to short passes over the middle this year?

Watkins is a 5th round pick you know, so its not like you couldnt see this coming.

IF we win this week... we can use it as a springboard for the rest of the season. I think the team's confidence will skyrocket. A win in Carolina, and I predict we sweep through the three game road trip. Write it down.

That said I think we're gonna get beat in a very tight game. 27-23. But one can hope. I do think #9 will play very, very well.

David Carr's in his 5th year and he's never had this much talent around him. The guy struggles every game to do everything he can for a team that, quite honestly, has let him down.

Romo has stepped up into a very healthy situation. Sure Dallas has it's problems, but the basics are there. Carr has no running game. He has 1 decent WR, what appears to be a decent TE and an OLine worse than ours.

Romo doesn't have to be Superman. He just has to limit his screw ups.

On the opposite side of the ball, he's got a decent defense that will do everything they can to limit how much work the offense has to do.

The media heads have been quick to cast off the Cowboys, but that's what they get paid to do. Romo needs to ignore them b/c Unless your name is Brady or Roethlisberger, you're not gonna get any love from ESPN, so just deal w/ it.

Go Cowboys!

Screens, you bet ya, and Dallas permits those 3rd and 5 conversions near mid-field frequently.

Cliff Harris was an undrafted free agent, Brock Marion was a seventh round pick, Everson Walls although a corner was undrafted. I was willing to give him a shot.
