A good way to look at this ugly win....

We now have a guy at receiver we can count on to make plays. Say what you want about it being against the chiefs, but the fact is he made play after play. It is clear he has earned romo's trust judging from how many times he targeted him today. Perhaps if he had that trust against denver we would have one that one too (he was open on a slant on both 3rd and 4th down but was never looked at). Who knows, if romo had been throwing to him all year he would have great stats, but he simply has not had the chance to make many plays. And a lot of his catches today were actually pretty good coverage, but romo gave him a chance and he came through.

Hopefully he cracks the starting lineup after the bye in place of crayton. He has clearly earned it. Crayton is a better as a slot receiver anyway.

I know it was an ugly win against a bad team, but we found a way to win and thats what counts. Now we have the bye week to get healthy and correct some things that need work. The Falcons will provide a stiff test after the bye....

A good way to look at it is that we won. That's the only way I intend to look at it.

shhhh - you'll mess up his day.

nothing seems to upset some cowboys fans so much as when we win and screw up the doomgloom parade.

I'm in no way going to post anything negative about Austin's day. Statistically, he had the best day in Cowboy history (from a yardage standpoint). But, I want to see him repeat his performance on a consistent basis. No, I don't mean put up ridiculous numbers like today, but being a consistent threat that we need downfield. I think he can be just that, but we've got to see it more than once a season. More importantly, I certainly hope Garrett keeps him involved in he offense enough to give him the chance to do so.

This is the NFL, any win is a good win. On the other hand losing to Jarmarcus Russell lead team, means perpetual shame, being the exception to the rule.

I never would have guessed. Thanks for letting me know.

Just in case you missed it.

The guy accidentally made the title of the thread Ugly Loss instead of Ugly Win.

I fixed the title for him.

at least he gives us some speed that this offense severely lacks on offense without felix on the field. Our starting receivers have to be the slowest group in the nfl
