We now have a guy at receiver we can count on to make plays. Say what you want about it being against the chiefs, but the fact is he made play after play. It is clear he has earned romo's trust judging from how many times he targeted him today. Perhaps if he had that trust against denver we would have one that one too (he was open on a slant on both 3rd and 4th down but was never looked at). Who knows, if romo had been throwing to him all year he would have great stats, but he simply has not had the chance to make many plays. And a lot of his catches today were actually pretty good coverage, but romo gave him a chance and he came through.
Hopefully he cracks the starting lineup after the bye in place of crayton. He has clearly earned it. Crayton is a better as a slot receiver anyway.
I know it was an ugly win against a bad team, but we found a way to win and thats what counts. Now we have the bye week to get healthy and correct some things that need work. The Falcons will provide a stiff test after the bye....
