I know that with T.R. at QB and all the weapons at his disposal ,we can score with anyone in the NFL and Outscore Most.

Like all of you, I'm concerned about our defense, ( the inconsistency )

My question is, Do you feel that our problems come from our talent on the field or our scheme.
And if it is our talent ,I don't see an easy fix this year.

it's hard to say but this team had to letdown after the win against Green Bay...too big a win not to...they were lucky to escape with a win against the Lions...

If you look at the game film from the first half of the GB game and compare it to the first half of the Detroit game you would'nt think it was the same football team...a bi-polar swing in intensity, no question about it.

look...we know these guys can play one-half of brilliant defensive football, as evidenced against Green Bay...but they have to become finishers...this team has'nt fully matured yet...if you saw Greg Ellis on the sideline in the DET game then you know what i'm talking about...

Veteran players know when it's time to turn up the heat and take care of business...younger players tend to be loose, but this can foster complacency and a lack of urgency in performance...you heard Favre say it about the young Packers squad...

...winning games in Buffalo and Detroit gives a team a massive dose of confidence in its ability to overcome adversity and play 60 minute football...

It seems to me that Henry and Newman or tentative in coverage...whether they are both not yet fully 100% is a concern...

We'll see...Henry made his first start this week and promises better against the Eagles...Dallas needs to key Westbrook again and take them apart as they did at the Linc...i'll be concerned if the defense is absent for a second consecutive week...right now i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because of the business with GB...

In any event, we have what we have, same as last year...i do feel more comfortable down the stretch with Hamlin at FS...at least he gets these guys lined up correctly...i do think that Wade needs to get more from the ILB's in coverage though.

Bottom line? Two more wins gets these guys some much needed rest for the playoffs and the return of Terry Glenn will give the whole team a lift.;)

The Lions game was RARITY.

They were the 1st team all year to really run effectively against us.

When a team is having that much success running the bowl it WILL slow down a defense's pass rush.

So far up until this game we pretty much made teams abandon the run game which in turn allows the front 7, specifically the DLine, to pin their ears back and get up field.

The Lions did a great job opening up their offense by running the ball well.

Don't worry about our defense just yet.

I would think this tells the D that no matter how bad they play, the O will bail them out. That is not a message to send.
