A little perspective on the overreaction.

Look at this thread ..... and look at the posters and what they are saying about the subject of that thread.

http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63678

Look familiar?

There are hundreds of threads just like these ...... and the same people always react the same way.

Everyone has the right to be upset about the way this team is playing...... and everyone has the right to express it.

EVERYONE ..... including those that prefer to have hope.

Just remember that and do not let the few, very loud people who always over react and always jump to negative conclusions, get you down.

There is reason to be hopeful, there is reason to believe that this team, with the right motivation, can turn this season around.

There are still 12 games left to play.

Except this is the same group of guys that finish games the exact same way and find ways to lose instead of ways to win.

I love this team. I love alot of the players. I love everything about romo.

Having said that, I have no doubt this season is going downhill. I also have no doubt we can not compete with ny and philly and we basically are already out of the race in the east.

I cant imagine what makes any fan expect different results.

When bradie james sits in the locker room and says We dont know how to do it, that tells us all we need to know. They dont know how or what they are missing, why they are making mistakes nor how to correct them. And the people in charge have no idea either.

I couldn't have said it better myself, I consider myself a very positive poster, but if anyone believes the culture here is changing is wrong, this team is is disarray- they are ill-prepared, have no killer instinct and are horribly coached on both sides if the ball..(except special teams). Romo looks hesitant, dis oriented and confused and is a lousy leader and that's where it starts on the team. Defense had the same coverage problems every week and there is no consequence or accountability for errors. No, I don't want to rout for another team, I love my team so much that it ruins my Monday and Tuesday when they lose, I just wish they cared as much as we do.

Thats the way it works theebs.

horribly coached

You will get no argument about that from me ..... I have said we need a head coaching change since last year.

I'm not so sure fans of this team are actually "over-reacting" as you say. Sure there are some wack jobs out there, but what we have is a fan base that is reacting negatively to a team that was expected to be 3-1 or 4-0 at this point and has under-achieved to a 2-2 record. The negative reaction we're seeing is warranted in my opinion.

I have not seen a whole lot from this team so far to give me any hope that they can make a deep play-off run. I think the problems run deep and can be attributed to the owner, coaching staff and Romo. Hardly an over-reaction based on what we've seen the last 7-8 games going back to last year.

Accept for the fact that Wade Phillips is the Head Coach.

Honestly, when has this guy proven that he can rally a team and make a deep Playoff run.

The season is not over by any stretch of the imagination but I have doubts that this team will rally behind Wade Phillips. You know, the guy that could possibly keep his job if the team played better overall.

Also, I think Wade Phillips' underwhelming coaching is hurting Tony Romo and could destroy his confidence.

Thats the way it works theebs.

So the criticisms and reactions are justified until this team learns how to win. Whenever that may be.

I know that, its not lost on me.

However I see nothing that changes anything here.

Usually teams lose these types of games two or three times and then learn from it and grow. This team just takes these in stride. The owner makes excuses, the head coach makes excuses, the offensive coordinator doesnt talk and the players in the locker room say things like we dont know how to do it.

that is a white flag to me. That is bradie james begging for help.

Unfortunately it isnt coming. The only nice thing about watching the mediocrity this year is that at least this is a team. They will not point fingers and they all will accept blame and promise to be better.

After all these losses since this team was starting to be put together in 05 and nothing has changed. We are right back to being the team that couldnt punch it in september of 05 to beat oakland at the buzzer.

Bledsoe couldnt get the ball to glenn that day in front of woodson and romo couldnt get it to hurd in front of bailey yesterday. And the worst part is there is no one in a figure head role to step in and command better play or fix these problems.

Couldn't agree more. I had some hope and optimism at the start of the season that maybe things would be a little different with a more serious training camp, but the bottom line is this is pretty much the same group of knuckleheads who drove out Parcells. And the same coaching staff that continually finds ways to outsmart themselves. And the same "GM" who is still learning on the job 15 years after Jimmy.

Wake me when Holmgren or Shanahan get here.

We just want our team to win.....

We expect our team to play to their potential.....

Have we overrated our talent? Maybe so.....but I guess we expect these overpaid stars to play better.

The season is far from over.....but there are some major concerns.

Most of us.....have not given up on this team.....I know I will never lose hope.

But after a tough loss......its ok to vent....and its ok to give our opinions on what should be done.

This team still could make a run but when you see

on the sidelines, it makes it a little hard to believe they can make a run.

I said that in the 6th line of my original post ...... I was just saying for people to not let the usual suspects get them down ..... because those same guys react the same way to every thing.

There is only one priority at Valley Ranch...making money. I expect Jethro to stay the course with SonOfBum. Only empty stadiums will force an issue.
