Fellas, I was checking out our schedule and a loss to Denver would be disasterous tommorow. At 2-2, this is our remaining schedule.

at Kansas City
Bye
Atlanta.........................possible loss
Seattle
at Philly........................possible loss
at Green Bay.................possible loss
Washington
Oakland
at Giants......................possible loss
San Diego.....................possible loss
at New Orleans..............possible loss
at Washingtn
Philly...........................possible loss

I count 7 games that could be possible losses. If we blow this game tommorow and drop to .500 on the year, then it is going to be a very rough road ahead of us to get to the playoffs.

Well, really, all of those games are possible losses. So, unfortunately, things are even worse than you thought, regardless of if we lose tomorrow.

If we win today and loose all the "possible" loss games we are out anyway. can I panic now or would it be best to wait till Thanksgiving?

True, but thats not what I meant.

When I say possible loss, I mean that our opponent has similar talent or we are playing in a location where we hardly ever win.

For example, I did not count Oakland as a possible loss since we clearly have more talent than they do. However, playing at Green Bay is a possible loss since we have only won once at Lambeau in our history.

A loss would hardly be disasterous four games into the season. Granted, it would be highly disappointing to lose to a team that was projected to win no more than 5 or 6 games by most experts. Also, the remaining games could very well be wins.

Considering 3 of our last 5 games are on the road and the two home games are against San Diego and Philly, I would hate to be needing wins to get into the playoffs at that point.

How much is that going to suck if we lose to Philly again in the final game of the season and that officially knocks us out of the playoffs???

This game has medium importance as far as winning the division goes. It's in the common games tiebreaker, which is below division record, head to head, and overall record.

As a wildcard tiebreaker, it has less importance since it's AFC.

Also has no real effect if the Giants lose since they're also playing an AFC West team, and the Commanders are playing TB, a team we've already beaten, meaning the best they can do is a push in tiebreakers.

What if the Cowboys divert their plane to Montana and say the weather in Denver was too bad to land? Then they could just say "well we forfeit" and not risk injuries or the shame in being beaten in Denver. Maybe we could send them by train and just say..."Oh, you meant this Sunday!?" Either way we lose but still it would be pretty good way to shake up the League.

^^^ sarcasm btw

Every game is a possible loss.

Last years game vs. St. Louis should be all the proof anyone needs.

Far too early to be worrying that far in advance. Im trying to enjoy this season, is that too much to ask?

At this point in the season I have been looking for areas which are improving each week, and players like Butler, along with soon to be returning Williams and Hamlin, will add even more.

ST's, and D have both atleast improved over the first 3 weeks, though not at a dominating level, few are,, possibly only the Ravens D could hold that torch at present, so a solid D and ST's is highly acceptable, atleast to me, I can live with that, and comfortable knowing that a youth, pedigree, if you will,, infusion is being installed with the 2 other rooks returning along with a Butler, gives this D another diminsion IMHO.

Lets face it, Spencer has not been a walk in upgrade to a departed Ellis just yet, there is a reason why Ware has been slow to the stat line early.

Though Ellis' contentations may not be missed, his thorough understanding of containment was somewhat taken for granted, which leaves Ware getting extra attention, but Rats been doing his best to move some of that his way, gotta give our line anchor some serious love here.

Guys a man beast in the middle and gives upcoming centers night sweats for a week prior to facing their nightmare.

The defense ans ST's are just going to get better every week and should have an identity coming out of the bye, Im just waiting for the offense to show an "established pattern" of improvement in certain areas, and this team will play well against anyone we face this season.

This is what you meant. Right? Those were just negativity typos. Right?

I don't think a loss is "disasterous", however, I do think its one of those swing games you need to win to make the playoffs. A loss would make this team 2-2, and quite frankly, and would really resemble what they are - a medicore team. When you look at some of the symptoms of this team, its starting to resemble one.

If we don't win this game by double digits, I will be very surprised.

And troubled.

I don't understand why people think this way. It's the NFL and if you don't pay attention 3/4's the games every weekend are close. Denver isn't a bad team and I'm not sure why people think they are. I think Dallas has more talent and if we execute we should win, but I'm not expecting to win by double digits. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it's a 21-17 game or something like that. Let's not have any TO's and thats a really good start.

What are you talking about, I see nothing but wins on that list.
