There is nothing handed to you because everyone is fighting for the SB trophy. So it;s not supposed to be a easy path to the SB because these are the best teams in the conference. So having said that I am irritated by a lot of you saying you don't want to play Atlanta, GB, Giants, and the seahawks. Since when is a playoff game supposed to be easy? This is the time of the year to determine who are the best teams and if we can't beat any of those teams then that means we are not as good as our record says we are.

And let's say they played two weak teams in January and made the SB? How the hell would that help them if they played the Pats and was never in any type of battle????

So the playoffs are not supposed to be easy and I am shocked a lot of yall don't realize that.

All very good points, but teams match up to other teams in different ways. As fans, we want to see a team in the playoffs with matchups the Cowboys can exploit.

The Giants and Seahawks have great defenses but can't score consistently. That means Dallas can get by with a so-so defensive game as long as the offense is clicking.

The Packers on the other hand are scorching hot offensively. That means the Cowboys' defense will be very taxed unless the offense can dominate time of possession and jump out to an early lead.

It's all subjective. Like you said, all the playoff teams are good, and it won't be easy. I just wouldn't mind if it were....easier.

I'm tired of this drivel.

People/teams have preferences for who they play. It's not supposed to be easy, but everyone wants the path of least resistance. The path that offers the greatest chance of getting to the Superbowl.

Football is a game of matchups. Some teams match up better against others. To not have preferences is kind of silly.

You and I don't always agree, but I'm right there with you, here.

Then if both games was easy and we reach the SB, then we get creamed by the PATS since we were not in any battles

I agree, although I think every team in the playoffs have weaknesses but Dallas looks like the most complete and best team.

Other teams should fear playing Dallas

If that's what you're worried about, quit watching football. You take every advantage you can get. Just like the Patriots love not being challenged for the division every year. It's given them tremendous playoff opportunities.

We have been in battles all year. Have played at some of the hardest places to win, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, GB, NY, Philly, Washington. Some of the best defenses with Ravens in there.

This team has won from behind, in front, over time, shoot outs and defensive battles. We have had almost every way possible to play and I think are the most ready for the playoffs. Just hope the bye week we stay sharp and not come out rusty

Patriots have had the easiest schedule in the NFL this season, and they will have the easiest road to the Super Bowl. (Texans or Raiders likely in the Divisional round are you kidding) Doesn't mean they aren't capable of beating us, but they have not really been tested. Seattle beat them in New England.

I think they do. I live in Bears and Packers country and everyone I talk to wants nothing to do with Dallas. I was talking to a hard core Packers fan last week and he was telling me he prays the Giants knock out the Cowboys so the Packers don't have to play us.

I think in the post season every game is going to present a different challenge. All the teams can beat us if everything goes right but at the same time we can beat anybody with our game. Each team has a different strength we'll have to overcome but we are not 13-3 because we suck.

Dallas is keeping other teams up at night worrying about how to stop Zeke and Dak and the resurgence of our defense.

New England will play Texans (I'm just assuming they will beat Oakland with Connor Cook and Steelers will beat the Dolphins) and probably Kansas City/Pittsburgh winner in the AFC Conference Championship. Let's say they play us and beat us by 1 point was that playing the best? It'd be one of the easiest Super Bowl wins ever. I don't care who we play to get there I just want to get there. If we can play a team that makes it more likely for us to get there such as the Lions I have no issue with that. Patriots will have one somewhat difficult game to get to the Super Bowl and that's it so why should I root for my team to have some incredibly hard path?

The only thing that we could be promised was that this team would win enough games to prevent having to go on the road and win a tough game. They have given us that much. So I will try to be confident that these same teams that we are wondering about the matchups against, also have to figure out how they are going to stop up.

That's what is concerning.. NY has already accomplished a formula and has done it twice.

So this "gotta beat the man to be the man" stuff is all good, but it's a concern when you realize there's no Juggernauts in the offs this year on our side. Any of the teams could be in the big game, and it actually looks like each team that's in, has a team on the other side that could knock them off if they catch them the wrong week.

New York has Dallas's number
Atlanta will run all over the Giants
Green bay can outscore Atlanta
Green Bay may not can beat the Lions 3 times in one season.
Seattle can contain Matthew Stafford.
Seattle has been awful on the road and are vulnerable against the top seeds.

Everybody on that list knows it's going to be a battle.. but they also realize it's better for business if those concerning scenarios don't play out.
