After witnessing what Tony Dorsett is going through....... I have a whole new outlook on players playing for championships. You have to look out for yourself and your family because these fans, coaches, owned and gms won't.

smart post.

Yeah I didn't get the best chance to win a Super Bowl crap either. The Eagles are not winning any Super Bowl with Bradford/Sanchez as QBs. He was acting like he is the final piece for that team. I can get DWare saying that when he left to go to the Broncos or Revis going to the Pats but Murray was so off with that statement.

Honeslty could look at that as a dig at the Cowboys.

I can't blame him for saying all positive things about his new team, but you just know he's praying Sam "IR" Bradford stays healthy. Otherwise best of luck with those Super Bowl aspirations Demarco.

Yea and I never understood that. At least before he went to Philly. There were a lot of us who liked him and respected him.

It's simple really. They make as many excuses as possible to downplay how important Murray was to the team's success last year so they can spin something positive out of his departure. Anyone who says that Murray leaving is no big deal and that he was just a product of the system is deluding themselves. Yes, there is a lot that can be done during the rest of the off-season to mitigate his departure but pretending like the team is somehow better off after losing the reigning OPoY smacks of foolishness.

The offensive line is very good but it isn't the only reason the run game was as good as it was. Murray had something to do with it as well. Romo, Murray, Dez and the offensive line carried this team to it's best season in half a decade. They complimented each other extremely well. They helped keep a weak defense off the field.

I'll hold out hope that Jerry and company have a plan but as of right now this team isn't as good as it was last year. Period. That means they are further away from a potential Lombardi Trophy. Who cares how much money they save if they don't reach the Super Bowl?

Then they are stupid and deserve to be broke.

How dare anyone take care of their family. Everyone knows that money is more important than blood.

If I had the money these guys have I'd be as generous as I could be. Money is nothing in the end. Nothing.

What I hate is I remember when Aikman, Emmitt and Irvin were young and just starting to win. Last year had the same feeling. Even with the GB loss, I felt better about the Cowboys for the first time since the Parcells years. And now this. I hope this doesn't derail us. It depends on how the Cowboys handle the RB situation.

I like Murray as a player and a team member, but he's had one injury free year, and he lays the ball on the ground...

This is NOT a good signing for the iggles...

He had zero injury free years, he just nutted up during a contract year and played 4 games with a broken hand because Emmitt's team record was with in reach and he knew the closer he got 2000 yards the more money he was going to get. I commend him for playing 16 games but if this was 2013 I misses half if not all of those games.

I hear you. I'll be honest and say that I never thought they'd let Murray walk. But it is what it is. Fact is that the FO knows more about football than I do so I'll give them the benefit doubt for now.

lol...and you would be broke before you're 50. And then all your siblings, nephews, cousins and aunt & uncles would shrug and say "Sho' hate it."

Don't be a sap.

A man is responsible for his spouse, his kids and grandkids. Beyond that, go make your own money, Uncle Ray.

Eagle fans turned on Reid and McFlabb. Murray doesn't have a chance if he doesn't produce.

I could see this going really poorly for Murray. No QB to take the pressure off, a dropoff in OL talent, the wear and tear from this season, a history of injuries prior to last season, and having to share carries with Mathews et al. I think Murray needs steady touches to be at his best and depending on how Chip manages the backs their platoon system alone could make him less efficient.

Murray could be the second least popular person in Philly by November.

Grants my local basketball guy. He can be a bit much at times and his strong suit is basketball but i get what he's saying. It's kinda rediculous that Murray tries to say it's not about the money, it's about winning a title. it absolutely is about the money otherwise he would have took our offer. We give him the best shot at a title. So cool he got paid but don't try to be like its not about the money when that was absolutely the deciding factor. I don't even think he truly believes the Eagles give him a better shot at a title over us.

In my opinion and trying to be objective Murray took the right decision
1- More money
2- Less carries therefore longer career (since he will share the ball with two other RBs)
3- Let's admit it, they do have a shot at a SB

So, for what he did for us, thanks and good for you Demarco, we'll be just fine … It just disappointing to see an original Cowboy standing in a press conference for another team (regardless NFCE or any other team)
