With the FA signings there is basically no where any player drafted at 58 or lower would walk in as a starter.

Therefore strategically grab talent, there are few positions that depth won’t be an issue over the next two seasons.

DT, Speed/Slot WR, RB, and CB (in the 2nd) can all be addressed per the make up of the 2019 group.
I wish there was more OT depth. If one would fall to 58 that would set 2020 up even better.

Look for Collins, Collins, Woods, Jones, all of the one year FA’s, and perhaps more to be gone next year. Reloading cheap new talent is key to continued success.
Find/ develop impact stars, keep/pay them, and churn the rest of your roster.
As for safety, unless a slider like Reid last year, I wouldn’t take one before the 4th or 5th round.
FS are corners that have slowed a step
SS are thumpers a biscuit short of a LB

We could easily upgrade starting S at 58.
Yeah, there are a few guys that could be an upgrade at safety.

A DT could also come in and be used heavily in a DL rotation, which would be a very solid contributor and worthy of a second round pick.

Just take the best player available. If it is a S or DT? Great. If they love a slot WR and he is rated higher than anyone else? That’s fine too. OL or TE? Do it.

Just get a good player and let him compete.

Offense is needed more tbh. We could’ve won 13 games if we could’ve scored. Offense was horrible throughout year even some games with cooper. Hell we got blanked with cooper. We need another weapon
