Let Zombie have a crack at it. The Halloween remakes are great, well the first one was, have yet to see the second.
You've got to be kidding me right? Right? The original Halloween movie is, IMO of course, the best horror movie ever. It was just about as perfect as one of those movies can be and Zombie came along, with a pretty near perfect template, and completely, totally, and utterly ruined it. Zombie deserves to be beaten senseless for his terrible remake of that classic.

The Halloween remakes are HORRIBBBLEEEE. Zombie sucks. The Friday 13th remake was HORRIBBBLEEEE. I was going to give Nightmare a chance but I don't know about that trailer. Seems too word for word on the original and Freddy just looks like a burn victim now vs a monster. Not sure how I feel about that.
I'm thinking I'll likely see the remake. I've seen the Halloween remake, the Friday the 13th remake, and so I'll likely see this one as well. It will no doubt, however, be as big a let down as those other two were.
Which I really don't get. You've got a template. yes you don't want to make the movie word for word the same. You're updating it and what not but when they just completely change things around and just obviously updated it with the express reason of being able to get more graphic sex scenes in the movie or just being more violent then it's a huge waste of time. Those two movies were just garbage compared to their originals which were actually really quality, classic, horror movies, IMO.
I did like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake only because I didn't feel like they went out of their way to completely change the thing up but did the whole updating it and adapting it in some ways thing. I thought that one worked rather nicely.

Heard about this a couple months ago. I'm a huge fan of the original " A Nightmare on Elm Street ". I always thought Freddy was the scariest out of all the killers (Michael Myers, Jason, etc.)
As for the trailer, I thought it was pretty good. I guess since it's not Robert Englund playing Freddy, they decided to change the makeup of his face. I'm definitely excited and I'll check it out, when it hit theaters.
I don't like the look on the trailer, personally. I know you've got to change it, to make it more fresh, which I'm cool with but that trailer just didn't look cool in regards to his look.

Sid was the only good thing about House of 1000 corpses...but really it was a rip off of texas chainsaw massacre.
I just don't get all of these remakes of the horror classics.
I think the only remake that has been decent in years was the Dawn of the Dead remake.
House of 1000 corpses was crap. An absolutely terrible knock off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. his remake of Halloween, as I said above, was garbage. The Devils Rejects I find oddly well done. I'm not really sure why cause when I first watched it I thought...man this is terrible. But the more I thought about it afterwards the more I kind of dug the movie. So that's his one movie thus far that I'm ok with. The rest of his work is just trash.
