I'm the drunken idiot by the way, lol.
This is a complete rant, which means this will be pretty negative, and I love the Cowboys but this game is nothing but pathetic!
1. Bradie James - This guy is the most one dimensional defensive player in the NFL. He couldn't cover my grandmother and his reaction time to an underneath pass is non-existent. At this point in time I am not sure signing him to a long term deal was a smart move. I would rather move a guy like Carpenter inside because he's much more athletic and faster.
2. Spears and Canty - Whomever thinks these two are good DE's is just a homer. They are both just 'another guy'. Neither one has big play ability. When was the last time either one made a big play for this defense? I know they aren't supposed to have 10 sacks as a defensive end in a 3-4 defense, but they don't even have 10 QB pressures combined. That's pathetic in itself and add into the fact that they both have fallen off the face of the earth here down the stretch.
3. Ware just got hurt and I just launched a empty Smirnoff Twist off the wall. Will have to clean up that glass a little later.
4. Terrell Owens does not just drop passes, he drops 'game changing passes' time and time again. Maybe he should try and catch them with his big fat mouth because he might have more success.
5. The Eagles wanted this game more than the Cowboys. They are playing with more energy and with more discipline. You who I am blaming for that one? Bill Parcells. He's the head coach and it's about time he shows some damn spirit over there on the sideline instead of moping around like a beaten 65 year man who had his puppy taken away. Where's the guy who used to get in the face of his players all game and who used to show some emotion that got his players fired up. The guy we see now is an 'old football coach' who thinks his X and O's talk is enough to get the job done. Well it ain't and maybe it's about time sometime told him so.
6. Marco Rivera - What a waste of money this guy was. If he played half as well as he spits out his motivational speeches he would be an average player. Instead he gets tossed left and right time and time again. I would love to say that Flozell and his fat butt is the worst lineman on this team, but it's easily Rivera. He was a good fit in Green Bay becasue he could just line up and fire out and hit somebody. Ask him to move to the left or right and block somebody and he's lost. I don't even want to get into his pass blocking because that's getting worse and worse each week.
7. Tony Romo - He was playing ok. Then he gets the feeling like he has to save the day and fires one up into double coverage. He's a young QB and that was a young mistake. He just threw another pick but who cares at this point because the defense lost this game a long time ago.
8. Oliver Hoyte - Missed a block on the goalline and then got thrown to the side by Trent Cole who is about the same size as he is. I guess he's not the answer at FB after all.
9. Kevin Burnett, Pat Watkins, Miles Austin - Burnett is the one who let LJ Smith run by him and get that big pick up in the first half. Watkins is the one who may not even be on the roster next season because he has no confidence left. All you need to do to him is run a double move and your wide open. Please pick up a damn Free Safety already. This position has been a HUGE problem since Darren Woodson left and yet year after year I see freaking Keith Davis lining up out there. Miles Austin has now fumbled in three consecutive games. That's what gets a guy back on the practice squad because no matter how many times you get a good return on a kickoff it hurts the team tenfold when you cough it up.
10. Terrell Owens - Dropped another one. Good job big mouth. We signed this guy to beat the Eagles and now we lost to them twice this year when we beat them twice last year. ?????????????????????
11. The offensive line - They are the second main reason, first is this pathetic defense, we lost this game. Romo get sacked again on 4th down. Nice job Flozell. These guys never established any room to run the football in this game. The Eagles came in as the 28th ranked defense against the run and yet at no point in this game were the Cowboys able to line up and run the football. Hand your paychecks over to charity because you certainly didnt earn one penny of it in this game.
12. Offensive play calling - All these weapons and yet time and time again it's 2 and 9 or 3 and 8. Way too predictable.
13. Playoffs - I hate to say it, but with this defense falling apart like a wet napkin it looks like a one and done. Greg Ellis going down hurt the team. James is a liability in the pass defense. Zimmer has no idea to run a pressure style defense and I hope he gets a job somewhere else this offseason.
14. Toughness - There is none from this team. When the chips are on the table this team gets pushed around and then everyone sulks like the head coach. This game is one you have to win, not come out in front of a home crowd and get embarrassed. I am ashamed right now.
15. Coaching - This the third time in two weeks that this team was outcoached. Jerry Jones is not going to forget that when the season ends. I hear all this talk about Parcells coming back because of the renewed optimism since Romo is now set at QB, but the question may be does Jerry even want him back? This team falters down the stretch year after year. I am a big Bill Parcells fan, but when the guy is moping around when his team needs him to get them back involved in the game I begin to wonder if this game has worn him out. Does he still have the fire to be a Super Bowl winning coach these days? Right now I have no answer for that question.
16. Reality - Winning the division would have given us a home game which is about the only difference in getting as the wild card as opposed to winning the division. My point is that the way this team is playing at home would it really matter? Remember the games with the triplets where a big home game pretty much meant a win? This team is the complete opposite. They falter under pressure at home. Embarrassed by the Saints and Eagles at home in December is not acceptable. This is supposed to be the time of the year when your gaining momentum, not falling apart.
In closing. I am about 12 smirnoffs in right now and I about ready to start breaking more stuff including the Christmas Tree. That's coming down for sure as soon as I get off the computer, lol.
Thanks again to the Dallas Cowboys for ruining my Christmas.
