A Peterson vs Bush vs McFadden

Who do you think will have the best NFL career?

Bush may never be a dominant RB or the traditional RB (he may not even be the best RB on his own team). He's a great talent but needs to be used properly like Payton is using him.

Peterson will have a very good but short career I think. He's running style takes too much punishment. I would be dead wrong. Dickerson was fabulous. He should be the odd on favorite to win ROY if his collar bone is ok.

McFadden....well, I have my doubts watching his videos...very straight line runner. Hope he shows abit more elusiveness in his last yr to prove me wrong. But one yr can make a huge difference, either he establishes himself as the premier RB or someone else will surprise and take over the top spot.

I get the feeling you haven't watched a lot of "video" to make that analysis of McFadden. But whatever, who needs information to form an opinion anymore.

Reggie Bush IMO is the best, he is also the most elusive, fastest and hardest back to stop I think.

I've watched a lot of McFadden and what he says is pretty much correct. He's a great college RB right now, but I'd like to see him use some more "shiftyness."

Haha smarta; you would rather have Manningham than Mcfadden? This kid could have a rookie year so good they might have to call him Mcmadden! hahaa....okay I am going to stop now:shatfan:

Seriously, though, would you smarta?

Thats not what I mean.

My belief is this...

JJ and MBIII are both young and coming into their prime, therefor I hope they can do an EXCELLENT job this year and give us a reason NOT to need a RB.

Our #1 and #2 WRs are both getting old and will NEED to be replaced in the near future.

So, a new RB could be a LUXURY whereas a new WR is an absolute NEED.

Okay, say JJ and MBIII both have better than-last-years' numbers. Do we keep JJ?

In regards to Manningham, I don't want to say this as you've been nice to me in my short time on this forum, but I am going to say that I think Manningham is a one trick pony as only being a deep threat and not much else. I hate Chad Henne, and maybe his lack of qb'ing skills may not allow Manningham to show his other talents if he has any, but I would just say to trade for a player like Bernard Berrian who can ONLY work the deep pass instead of spending a 1st on Manningham if you want a deep threat.

Picking Wideouts in the first round makes me very nervous; you can get pretty solid WR's in later rounds; 1st round WR's have such a high bust rate it makes me squeamish to think we might pick one. I don't think ANYONE was expecting Charles Rogers to be as bad as he ended up being, same with David Terrell.

Its all speculative at this point anyway.

Mannigham missed 4 games last year and was limited in playing time to see everything he has.

He is a great deep threat for that team because Henne's biggest asset is his deep throw ability.

Breaston was more of the short yardage guy who would get the YAC.

This year Manningham will have to step up and play both roles in the absence of Breaston and their TE Ecker.

But as I have said multiple times, my opinion on which way can easily change and be affected by both the college season and NFL season.

At this point I just like getting under some poster's skin about Manningham and Michigan this and that :)

Oh and to answer your question, yes, keep him.

He's got plenty of wiggle for the type of runner he is. I like him fine the way he is now with just a little more pure lower body strength.

I don't get too many Arkansas games here in JERSEY (sorry, someone pronounced it the wrong way earlier).

It would be worth getting the NCAA football package just to watch McFadden play. I'm telling you, the guy is amazing.
