Don't you start with me Sir!

Don't you start with me Sir!

And he has gotten better every year. He’ll be top 5 after this year as long as he stays healthy. One of Dak's greatest attributes is a non-ending learning curve. He will never stop trying to get better.
Yes, I know, another Dak Prescott thread but this one isn't really about him, it's about your perception of him as the DC QB.
Has your perception changed and why?
I am one of the few that watched him throughout his days at Miss St from being the starter as a junior, because I watch a lot of SEC, and his story connected with me as I had lost the person closest to me to the same monster.
He got on the Heisman watch because of his legs and the better defenses in the SEC took that away from him his senior season and forced him into more of a pocket QB. He did not look comfortable to me.
He got picked in the 4th, about where I thought he should go because accuracy on a consistent basis was not his game.
I was aware of how he got his HS and college starting jobs in the same manner but also intrigued as to why the starter couldn't take the job back. Little did I know this 4th rounder, longshot to not be on the PS to start the season, was to repeat what he did with Dallas as he did in HS and college.
I am not in either of the extreme camps regarding him, I am somewhere in the middle but I used to think just as Aikman did, you can't fix accuracy and he hasn't to the point of being Brady or Rodgers but he most definitely has improved in that area. He will still make those errant throws but what QB doesn't?
I am just interested to see how many are in that camp with me? Because that QB that started 2020 didn't even resemble that QB I watched at Miss St. Not even remotely.
I have seen this man work on his game and improve every season and I am intrigued as to where is his ceiling? How good can he be?
BTW, this isn't about how much he's being paid because I don't care about that. They had few options to signing him and this is just about how has your perception of him and his talent changed since he became a Cowboy.
At the end of the day Dallas is a more successful team when Dak passes less so they need to get their running game in order as relying on Dak's arm is not the formula for success.
You’re not alone a persons conduct and leadership and persona is important
I liked TO the player but he was a diykhead. Greg Hardy was an ok player piece of crap person.
Zeke is a good player not exactly the type person to have a good persona
Great news so we can figure after his 10th season he will be able to beat a playoff team???One of Dak's greatest attributes is a non-ending learning curve. He will never stop trying to get better.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but this shows that you really don't get it.
We don't lose because we throw more, we throw more because we are losing. When you can understand these type of basic concepts and how football works, maybe the picture will clear up for you on Dak and the passing game.
not a big UFC guy but i saw some results on the internet.Speaking of Hardy did anyone watch him get knocked out the other night in 30 seconds on the MacGregor undercard? Hilarious!!
Zeke was on a much better team. Dak carried Miss St. in a tough SEC.It's my opinion that he never face(d) the same competition or big games as other college QB's.
I use zeke as my crowning achievement of NCAA achievement. The 2014 national championship....he face the top 5 teams in all of the NCAA of that year. . Michigan, Wisconsin, the mighty Bama and the media darling Ducks.
The first "playoff" of the NCAA.
He put like 750 yards, 8 tds in the final 2. Against the very best the NCAA had.
Dak?
This perception that he’s a top paid QB correlates to some sort of pecking order is over stated. Not sure if my perception has changed but my expectations of him has. He was a 4th round pick who stepped up and provided top 10 QB performance while making peanuts, providing excellent value to the team.
Now he is making top dollar I expect him to overcome other weaknesses on the team.
By "the person" I think it was clear he was talking about his leadership, not that he would be a swell guy to hang out with."the person"?
You give a sheet about "the person"?
Like..dude...just play football. These players are not my friends or moral compass.
Of course it's really cool if their public persona is "cool". Easy to do with millions $$ and organization that helps. Harder to do with NOTHING. But people DO. Where are THEIR "liking the person"?
In 2020 Dak threw 39 times against the Rams, a game which Dallas lost 20-17 and a game that saw Dallas winning 14-13 at the half so that was not considered a 'losing' game in terms of needing to throw near 40 times.
In 2019 Dak threw 44 times against Philly, a game Dallas lost 17-9 so again not a game they were 'losing' per say. In fact, 7 times in 2019 Dak threw 40+ times in a game where only 2 of the 7 were Dallas seen as being far behind.....and in those 7 games Dallas had a record of 1-6.
So, in no way have I ever claimed to be a savant of football knowledge but in looking at thise statistics I would think even a basic knowledge guy like myself can plainly see that when Dak passes a lot Dallas does not do so well.
he most definitely has improved in that area. He will still make those errant throws but what QB doesn't?
As a matter of fact with Prescott as their QB the Bulldogs received their only #1 Ranking in school history. They just couldn’t beat Alabama.Zeke was on a much better team. Dak carried Miss St. in a tough SEC.
The few times I do,, I criticize Aikman because he is dead wrong with his belief that you can't improve your accuracy as a passer. He's 100% wrong about that.
Seems to me if your QB and his offense are so great you should have no trouble whatsoever overcoming a measly 20 points your defense gave up. But the narrative is that Dak has never had a good defense, so as usual the blame for that loss gets handed to the defense and not to a 'high octane' offense that could manage only 17 points.
Don't even get me started on the 2019 Philly game. The slobberers will say I'm wrong and label me a hater, even though their hero could only manage 9 points.
He hasn’t had a great defense. We obviously had a defense closer to average and above both years he made the playoffs.Seems to me if your QB and his offense are so great you should have no trouble whatsoever overcoming a measly 20 points your defense gave up.
