A Question to All T.O. Apologists

I think all on here would agree we are a vastly more talented team than the Titans. We are a 10 point favorite. This is a team we should easily handle, at home or on the road. thus, the question. What happens if we go out and get beat? What then? The only explanation will be the TO distraction. Will that be enough to convince some of you that this signing was a mistake?

I was not in favor of getting TO but if we lose then I blame the team for losing. The only explanation would be that we played poorly.

If we go out and get beat by a team that we should handle, then the only explanation in my mind is we didn't take care of business. Distraction or not... There are always going to be distractions with the Dallas Cowboys. It's a fact of life. If it wasn't this, it would be a QB controversy, kicking questions, or OL concerns.

So if we lose, call it a mistake if you wish. I'm going to let him play until 1) he does something worthy of being cut from the team, or 2) we get to the playoffs/Super Bowl before I make a judgment as to whether his signing was a mistake or not.

No, you can't blame TO for the team losing the same way you can't blame Bill for TO taking the pills.

Anything can happen on any given Sunday. If the Titans beat Dallas it will be because the Cowboys were outplayed. The Titans might play with more desperation. They might play with more energy. They may get some fluke big plays. Anything can happen.

I really felt like one of the worst things the Eagles and their fans did last year was blame all of their problems on TO. Don't let that happen here.

If anything all of this will pull the team together. Anytime some one or something from the outside is attacking the team or players teams will rally together. Problem I have had in the past with TO is when he is the one attacking from the inside that creates a distraction to a team and divides a team. In this case it becomes us against the world mentality

They all knew it was going to happen and they were pre-distracted.

NO - we always lose to a team or two we shouldn't - as do most other NFL teams. It happens. Besides, this wasn't a typical TO stunt - I don't think for a second he tried to kill himself.

I'm no TO apologist - I think the guy is self centered and "COULD" become a problem and even a cancer, but this situation is not the same thing.

Just to add to this thread - if a team is good, they won't get distracted, no matter what. I doubt the team is letting this get to them - more than likely they are in their own little bubble.

I was never for TO coming here - but let's not forget - the Eagles weren't bad last year because of the TO distraction - they were bad because they were very injured. TO doesn't have the power you are giving to him.

If the TO thing was such a distraction that it caused us to lose then I would have to question the "professionalism" of every player on this team.

I still blame TO for the 100-yard kickoff return we gave up to Rock Cartwright. How dare TO break his finger and distract the coverage team like that!
