A reason for optimism

Fellow 'boys fans. I am not a "kool-aid," drinker and am not afraid to tell it how it is. I know this team has been playing awful as of late and they don't look like a play-off team.

That being said, the gloves come off during playoff time. I am a St. Louis Cardinals fan and have been for 20 years. This year I was embarrased by the team that they put in the playoffs, but things fell right for them. Momentum can change on a dime. I know that this isn't baseball and some will bash me for using it as a reference, however I feel that if the ball bounces Dallas' way a couple of times and they get hot, anything can happen.

It is good to have the playoffs come around and have our team playing for something.

Another silver lining thread?

Look... I am not throwing the towel in by any means.

I think the talent is there but it lacks guidance and drive.

Until we see some emtion and creativity from the top there is ZERO reason to feel comfortable with the playoffs.

The Cowboys are going to annihilate the Seahawks. Then, they're gonna be everyone's hot pick because "The talent was there all along, they just weren't executing" then, they're gonna keep trashing people and all the fans who bailed will come back and we'll sing kum-bayah and roast s'mores.

But it will have nothing to do with the Cardinals. If I never see that comparison again it will be too soon. This team CAN execute, they just haven't been. A game on the road against a hapless Seattle team (and don't give me any crap about Detroit - they were hardly hapless in pushing Chicago to the brink a week ago - Mike Williams just couldn't hang onto the game winner in THAT game) could be just what the doctor ordered.

I like your optimism. I think until the Cowboys find a way to put pressure on the QB with adequate coverage and run play, people will be guarded.

Agreed, had those idiot refs not called back that first defensive touchdown on us, we might be division champs as of Sunday. I felt as if the momentum of the game turned a bit after that chicken#^$#^$# call on numero cuatro uno.

Which is all the more reason why I want us to "just barely win" all of the games.... so we stay underdogs and keep the "us against the world" theme...

it has been proven that any amount of cheese for this team is destructive LOL
