It's pretty obvious that since the end of the game yesterday that many (if not most) posters feel at the very least Zimmer must be replaced and possibly Parcells. Should we lose our playoff game next Saturday night Jerry Jones may see the light and clean house on the coaching staff. But, if we win against Seattle this might give Jones false hope that Parcells and company can still get the job done. Finally winning a playoff game after all these years may buy our coaches another year or more.
So I find myself torn. On the one hand I will root for our Cowboys until the very end especially in a playoff tournament. Given the state of the NFC it's possible we can go far. We know we are capable of scoring points so if we finally play a little D we can win some games.
On the other hand I want the 2007 season to begin with a new regime in here starting at the very top. Right now Jones has to be ready to start firing coaches and making changes. Will his thirst for success in January after all these years be tainted if we do win even one game?
I won't root for the Cowboys to lose. That just isn't me. But this catch-22 position of wanting to win and also wanting a new coaching staff is putting me between a roack and a hard place. Or am I worring for no good reason because even if we beat Seattle it's obvious to Jones it's time for a change?
