A show of hands, blokes, who thinks Romo can play 16, 12 or 10 games?

Fans, I feel as if I am on borrowed time. My ruffian cousin (the real Gimme) is on his way back, so this might be among my final (and thus last) posts.

It has perplexed me no end that tony romo's acolytes believe him to
1. Be good for another 5 years
2. Return to action as if was still on his way here from Eastern Illinois
3. Actually, advance us into the playoffs, this year or any year.

I am curious as to what the consensus might be as for his durability for the 2016 season.

I want to find that special fan who thinks Romo can go through a 16-game season.
10?
8?

I just do not trust the aging mechanism. That is to say I believe Romo to be entering is final season.
The boy is fragile. That cannot be denied.

So tell us how many games Romo will be at. As in on the field.
Be strong, be truthful, be realistic.

I'll give him 16. I just can't imagine him breaking that thing again. But I admittedly will hold my breath every time he's knocked to the ground.

With Romo's age and recent history of serious injuries, one can no longer depend on Romo staying healthy for a full season, he has two years left as a productive quarterback when and if healthy, but another serious collarbone injury or back injury may force an end to his career earlier...I'm tired of hearing Jerry and his Romo friendly offense, it's time to get Romo's replacement in the pipeline immediately, not some fourth or fifth round draft pick this year or wait until after Tony's retirement announcement, and end up in the same situation the Cowboys were in when AIkman retired and the turnstile of patchwork quarterbacks that never panned out.....Remember what Jerry said in the drunken bar video, finding Romo was a miracle, don't expect another miracle, they're usually a once in a lifetime event..

I see no reason he can't play 16. He doesn't have a history of missed games except for broken bones which tend to happen in a contact sport. He broke his collar bone in 2010 and went 5 years without breaking it again. So I expect him to be his same reliable self and be out there on game day just like he has been his entire career.

13 games. And as usual, the 3 games he misses will be against the 3 easiest opponents. Kellen will put up a valiant effort but, in the end, we will be staring at possible 30-burger losses.

I don't know how many games he'll play, for all I know he could play all 16, but time is against him at this point and we have a really great opportunity to prepare for life after Romo.

Next season he will breeze through 19 games with a clean bill of health no bother. All this QB at four is crazy.

He can absolutely play 15, if not 16. He hadn't missed more than one game in three seasons until this season. The whole Romo is fragile argument holds no water when you actually look at his recent history.

Mind you, this isn't an argument for or against drafting a QB, this is simply in response to the thread title. I'm sure this will devolve into a discussion of why we have to draft a Qb and get moved to the Draft Zone eventually...

I expect him to get injured and would guess he plays 8 games. I actually can't imagine him surviving any square hit where he is landed on.
