A show of hands, blokes, who thinks Romo can play 16, 12 or 10 games?

Would that be a bad thing for Cowboy fans to do? He has great personal passing stats but has 2 playoff wins in 12 years with the team. Has had a longer run at being a playoff winning qb than any other qb in the Super Bowl era. Yes, the team is worse without him, but, like last season shows, that isn't all bad. When you are really bad you get a chance to draft the best qbs coming out of college to start a better rebuild. Eh?

Tennis anyone?

Golf, maybe?

You can't possibly think Romo is why they haven't had regular playoff success. I know the OP can be dense in that way,but Come on, you must be brighter than that.....it is a team game.

And btw, I'm fine with us taking a QB at 4 if they think that guy is truly worthy of the pick.
And I fully agree that Romo's clock is ticking down.

As long as we have one bright person around -- you -- then all is well. Yes, I am sure Romo can't possibly be the cause of our 20-year drought as far as playolff success. I shall scold myself for thinking that. I am contrite. Give me the flavored sugar drink you Yanks drink. . .

I'll give him 16. I just can't imagine him breaking that thing again. But I admittedly will hold my breath every time he's knocked to the ground.

Some of that is going to be on Romo. He has a quick release. If he's in trouble, he better use it. He cannot take sacks like that -- these NFC East defensive players know the one key to beating the Cowboys is to take out Romo. He is an absolutely marked man and if you watched the way he was taken out last year, you know I'm right.

The "marked man" factor is what worries. There will definitely be a few players who will take liberties and try to drive him to the ground on that shoulder

Ten games will be lucky. It all starts with the back. Once the back injuries began, he's never been the same. And never will be.

Right you are, mate! Some players are so low down that they would consider hurting Romo a feather in their hat. That is always a worry. Look what that thug did to Aaron Rogers when the GB QB was coming off an injury. Leg injury, I believe.

I'd like to to think between 12-16 games...but my guess is less than 10. I'm hopeful that they draft a QB and preferably with the 4th pick, I'm not very confidant that this team will find another diamond in the rough like they did with Romo. So as much as a veteran back-up would be nice, a Romo replacement would be better, we are gambling big time thinking that a 36 year old quarterback can stay healthy for 16 games...it does happen, but Romo has been nicked up the last few years.

I wonder what the OP was saying before the 2014 season?
Rhetorical question, of course.

The Giants were late hitting him big time last year.

I think he needs to take some "how to get tackled" lessons. IF you ever notice he seems to automatically go into the fetal position, maybe to protect the ball. And if you look at both times he got hurt he went down the exact same way. I give him 10 games...

Around 10-12 don't think he goes on IR again but there's no way he'd plays a full season

Fans, I feel as if I am on borrowed time. My ruffian cousin (the real Gimme) is on his way back, so this might be among my final (and thus last) posts.

It has perplexed me no end that tony romo's acolytes believe him to
1. Be good for another 5 years
2. Return to action as if was still on his way here from Eastern Illinois
3. Actually, advance us into the playoffs, this year or any year.

I am curious as to what the consensus might be as for his durability for the 2016 season.

I want to find that special fan who thinks Romo can go through a 16-game season.
10?
8?

I just do not trust the aging mechanism. That is to say I believe Romo to be entering is final season.
The boy is fragile. That cannot be denied.

So tell us how many games Romo will be at. As in on the field.
Be strong, be truthful, be realistic.
th

I won't fall into this trap. It just divides fan base.
