The Good:
1) This game was one of the three-four toughest on our schedule, including Indy at home, at Jacksonville, and at NY. If we can get it together and win the other two (probably the easier two) we should be all right.
2) TO is not causing problems, furthermore, he appears to actually be becoming a leader, encouraging teammates, stepping up like a man (cough Bledsoe) saying he needs to practice more, and backing up his team mates.
3) Bledsoe and TO will only get better, remember TO was out most of preseason so their timing is still off, I really think it will get a lot better. If TO and TG can both be on the same page with Drew I think it will help him a lot.
4) The offensive line is going to get better, this is only their 4rth game together and it will be by far their toughest, at Carolina will be the only game that really compares with this, maybe at NY but probably not. So they will improve.
5) Julius Jones quietly had a good day against a hard defense, and with limited carries, I think he is just going to get better as the season progress and the Oline progresses.
6) We are only 2 games out and Philly has yet to play anyone (except us, see point 7), there wins have come against, GreenBay, Houston, and SanFran, come on they have proved little.
7) We played completely utterly terribly today and still had a chance to come in and tie the game and send it into overtime. On the other hand Philli played almost perfectly to good just to sneak by, the score does not tell the whole story it was close, down to the end.
8) Parcells has learned of a forward pass...come on remember last year when we were all saying freaking through the ball? Well he is throwing it maybe he needs to balance a bit more but he is at least progressing and in the long run teams will have to respect both our pass and run offense.
9) We get to play the Texans next week, Romo will be in for mop up by the beginning of the third quarter. Redemption is only a week away.
The Bad:
1) The elite teams would almost always have one today, the big game wins are what separate the good from the super bowl teams.
2) We have beaten no one, Washington at this point is very suspect as a football team and therefore does not count.
3) Our QB seems to fold under pressure, not good in big games, not good in late November, December.
4) The Media seeks to cause SO MANY DISTRACTIONS and may do so
5) Our "Doomsday Part XVLIIIIII" seems to only be only be a tactical nuke
6)Our QB seems to fold under pressure, not good in big games, not good in late November, December. (yes same as 3)
7) There are very few give me wins left on our schedule, Detroit, Tampa Bay (maybe) Arizona.
8) Drew Bledsoe - I never feel very well seeing him drop back in the pocket, you just never know what to expect with him. I rarely see a QB make so many stupid decisions regularly when things are going bad. When it rains with Bledsoe it pours, if he is having an off game by the second quarter, pack up the bags and board the plane, I can not think of a time when he is able to overcome a bad day or rough start and get it together, great QBs do, average QBs don’t- we have an average QB.
There are more goods and bads, obviously, but I guess the point is the season is not over, and its probably not time to go to Romo (Don’t get me wrong I was calling for Romo after the game too) but he does need to start getting serious playing time in blow outs, not just the handoff crap. There is still much hope for this team, a three game winning streak and we will be buying super bowl tickets (I think 7-2 at this point is entirely possible) Redemption is only one week away and we all know its coming.
