Who were SO savagely critical of him last year, right after Parcells bailed out...

You guys were SO certain that Jerry was screwing up, hiring an offensive coordinator before he hired a head coach... no playoff team could function that way, you told us...

Well, here we are, at the end of the regular season, the Cowboys are 13-3, teams are raiding our staff-- the staff that Jerry put together-- for talent, and that offensive coordinator that Jerry was SO stupid to hire is one of the hottest names out there among teams looking for a new head coach...

So, as incompetent as some of you would have us believe Jerry the GM is, it sure looks like his decisions last offseason were sound, right down the line...

Naturally, this will not keep you Jerry bashers from trashing him again this offseason... indeed, it's already started, as the Chicken Littles are out in full force in the wake of Jeff Ireland moving on to the Fins... never mind that most close to the situation are confident that Tom Ciskowski will be able to take over for Ireland without the Cowboys missing a beat...

No common sense allowed SB you know that

I just thought with the annual Trash Jerry fest once again in session, reminding the haters about how stupid they were this time last year was appropriate... :D

One thing that fails to get mentioned is Jerry is the one who hired BP, Garrett and Ireland these guys did not hire themselves. For a stupid man who has no football sense I would say Jerry did damn good and if he is forced to replace these coaches he will. One thing I have noticed from day 1 with Jones those that hate him will never credit him for anything. All things good are someone else and any mistakes falls on Jerry.

He might have been doing a good job...but I still wish he would stay off the da** field when ever a game is not going the way he wants. I would think that it would just make the players more nervous with him out there pacing around. I hate it when he goes out there!!

I think JJ learned a good lesson during those bleak 5-11 seasons..... at least I hope he did.

I'm confident he'll do the right thing for his/our team!

Myself. I don't think Jerry being down there hurts anything.

Let's just hope he doesn't trade our two first round picks for a resurrected Joey G from Tampa.

I've posted many times that if the Cowboys win a playoff game this season that I'll give Jones credit and admit I was wrong about his work as GM this year. I guess I'll find out in a little over a week!

did you hurt your shoulder patting yourself on the back?

jerruh is proven football idiot. hopefully he and his old pal lacewell won't flaunt it to us as they did from 1995 until hiring tuna when they tried to prove to the NFL world they can run a club (into the ground).

our offense is *barely* ahead of last year WHERE WE PLAYED DEADSOE FOR SIX STARTS and Tuna mismanaged TO. sorry but Jason would look bad if he had the jason campbells of the QB world leading the team.

we had a great season, but mostly none of this was jerruh's doing, except for putting in place Tuna and letting him run out Lacewell and the other football incompetents jerruh is beholden to.

Not only what the OP said, but why in the world would you want to keep a guy around that wants to be in somebody else's Front Office?

The worst thing Jerry Jones could have done is try to force a guy to stay here when he doesn't want to be here.

I am surprised Bach hasn't found his way to this thread yet to come piss on Jerry.
