I don't have much good to say. Let's start with some painful facts.

Wade had never lost on Sunday Night Football until last night. The Cowboys had never lost on September 20th until last night. Not well known and really in the grand scheme of things not really that important, but hopefully it interests someone.

I have never seen a game like that in my life. How do we turn the ball over 4 times, get no takeaways ourselves, and still only lose by 2 points? I've seen games with teams getting a lucky bounce, but 3 of them? The INT off Witten's shoe, the Manningham TD, and then the batted ball still caught on the final drive. We were not meant to win that game for whatever reason.

Barber's quad injury is my biggest concern. I do think Choice will once again fill in nicely, but I hate injuries and the way he went down makes me think it's bad.

Have you ever seen expert fans turn on a player faster than Orlando Scandrick? One bad game by the kid and he goes from fan favorite and Oscan, to he can't play. In truth it was an awful game by the entire secondary and the pass rush isn't helping them at all. 2 games, no sacks, no takeaways. Not good enough by a long shot.

Everyone else is going to throw Romo under the bus. While I am not going to defend him and say it's not his fault I will say I still support him as our QB, and think the rash over reactions to a bad game are stupid. In his PC he took full blame for the loss. No finger pointing. His team will react to that.

I thought the OL played great. The RBs did as well. It is a pity the rest of the team did not come along for the ride.

The stadium is magnificent. I think the crowd was amazing. I loved the noise. I wish NBC had shown the unveiling of the Ring of Honor and the star.

The best thing I can say about last night is it isn't the end of the season. Doesn't matter, I'm not happy.

lol, I just said almost the exact same thing

I can't even imagine how rare it is for a team to rush for 9 YPC and lose.

I'd imagine it's even rarer for a team to be +4 in turnover ratio and only win by two.

I think the fact that the game was even close, speaks to the amount of talent (at least offensively) that we have on this team. Back to back weeks of 30+ points, and we HAVEN'T FORCED A SINGLE TURNOVER!!!!! Most teams need defensive scores, or at least turnovers setting you up with good field position to drop 30 on someone. We've done it back to back weeks against some very good defenses.

We're just beating ourselves. That's correctable, and we could be very good if it gets corrected.

I have very little confidence that it will get corrected. But I think everything I've said above is completely true.

A couple of good points. And yes, you are right, there is no way we win that game. Something Sci-Fi was going on last night.

We learned that Scandrick can not tackle.

I don't think many real fans want Romo replaced. What we want is another plan to make him successful. What we've been doing for the last 18 games isn't working. Look what Minny is doing with Favre. Run the ball, throw high percentage passes and focus on creating mis-matches. It's not rocket science.

We need less Romo. The D struggled, but I certainly don't pin that loss on them. It's no secret we need a better pass rush and something is wrong in our secondary.

Defense is ranked #30, giving up over 430 ypg and 11-10 in the last 21 games. Just awful.

Mr. Fixit? Laughable. Cowboys can't tackle, be in position, or make plays.

If this was a rare performance from Romo, I would move on. It's not. It's part of a trend.

The 3rd down deflection for a first down was ridiculous. That ball either wasn't intended for the receiver who caught it or was a horrible pass from Eli because it was going to be well behind the receiver until it was deflected.

I am more suprised at Newman stinking it up last night, Scandrick is young and will have growing pains.

they both looked lost last night, give the Giants WR credit for solid routes, but Cmon were in the Pros here!

I'm down on Romo simply because he promised he wasn't going to make stupid mistakes anymore,so what makes us think it wont continue just because he took blame last night. I get it at least he looked concerned and piseed<but enough already!

cant trust this team, they build you up and then break your spirit

It truly was unbelievable but hey we're the Cowboys and things like that just happen to us.

Not really surprising, a lot of people turned on Jenkins cause of one missed tackle and they were ready to cut Newman mid game last night.

I think they did a nice job of max protecting Eli, they doubled Ware every play and challenged someone elses to beat them, and no one really stepped up.

Our zone defense is terrible, has to be among the worst in the league, and yet we keep employing it in important situations. When there is no real consistent pass rush, zone has got to be one of the worst defenses to employ.

He deserves to be thrown under the bus in this one, he was pretty bad. It's not a matter of thinking he should be cut, I still like him as our QB but I've always said field vision wasn't one of his strengths.

The stadium is glitzy, that's for sure. I'm not sure I prefer it to a more traditional stadium yet though, I don't think you need the glitz for football but most of all I felt terribly disappointed for the 100,000+ that were looking forward to that night for so long only to watch their team lose like that.

Garrett was outcoached again, and didn't figure it out until our last possession. The Giants with their beat up secondary were dropping 7 or 8 into coverage and giving us whatever we wanted in the running game. They knew Garrett wouldn't stick with it, and he'd force passes in there. They were just waiting for it to happen. Why were nearly 50/50 run to pass is beyond me in that game.

I'm a defensive guy. I would rather a offense that can only manage 17 points a game and are slow and methotical as long as I have a defense that dominates.

This is killing me. 30th ranked defense, lame duck defensive guru coach. If Wade was a defensive cordinator he would of been fired last season. If this continues how can you justify keeping him on.

Despite the defensive play I still think we go into the bye week 4-1.

I believe I have finally started to have complete trust in him.I sometimes get caught in the hype of him choking.I however, then relaize he only started 2.5 years so far.I used to think before a game well he will sling and make the game competitive but he will also throw a pick or two.I think as he matures and calms the turnovers added to his wonderful ability to make a play when it breaks down, he is taking to the next level. The next level as a leader and player.Romo is about to get his annointing oil over the next few seasons.

It might also be time to admit that the Giants receivers aren't nearly as poor as some people around here believe. They make plays. They come up in the clutch. Our highly paid starters manage only two catches against a beaten up secondary. Our secondary is completely healthy and get schooled all night long in clutch situations.

2 games, no sacks, no takeaways. Not good enough by a long shot.

That is a primary reason why this game was lost. No takeaways. The sacks are not a concern to me, we got plenty last season and still found a way to lose nine games. The lack of turnovers that is carrying over from last season is a huge issue. Either we have perhaps the most uninstinctual secondary in the entire league or we have a scheme issue. It is probably both.

It is irrelevant what he says anymore. Indifferent or accepting blame, it doesn't matter anymore. All accepting blame does is make people feel better. The errors have to stop. It is just that simple.

I don't think his teammates will react one way or another to it. It is beyond the point of "rallying" behind him and his continued mistakes. Either they find a way to cope with them or they don't, but it is obvious he hasn't changed a bit. The errors still continue to manifest themselves and we are unable to cope with the effects of them.

Hard to get picks when you are 8 yds away from the play at the line, with no pass rush and a zone defense... I do agree though, that we have NO playmakers on defense! Not one of them have made a play over the last 3 yrs that has changed the game. Not since the old Roy Williams picked Mc Rib in Philthy!

I wanted Newman gone a year ago. My feelings haven't changed.

Romo has been sliding under that bus for a while. No need to throw him under. His play was downright awful. Nothing so far has changed with him.

Ditch the 3-4 when they can, get back to the 4-3, again, when they can.

The fact that Williams was quiet again was quite bothersome, whild no names are getting open all over the place for the Giants.

Flozell needed to be gone 2 yrs ago. Twice now, he has cost this offense a big gain so far this year with his lazy penalties.

IMO we got out coached. Antonio Pierce seemed like he knew what we wanted to do in the passing game all night. That was a great audible by him on that first pick.

What's funny about this game is that the Giants knew we had a horrible game against the run last week. They knew we would try to shore that up. (we did)..so they decided to pass.

Our run game was average last week, and our passing game was outstanding. This week the reverse. The Giants seemed to do anything to keep Romo from beating them, and they did.

We got out coached plain and simple.

I have two positives though that are huge.

1. The offensive line played outstanding.
2. The D line played pretty darn good as well.
We can win a lot of games with those two units playing like that. We just need to shore up the little things and decide what kind of football team we want to be.

I't not like we we're we going undefeated. We lost a game we we're in until the last minutes against a darn good football team. The most positive thing about this IMO is that it's only September....if this team really has what it takes it will learn and grow from this loss, and hopefully be good in December.
