You romo fans refuse to let go, would any other team trade their franchise QB for a 1 & 3?

Bird in the hand and all. I assume the water cooler is filled with rubbing alcohol.

Also sending 11-2 Dak to Cleveland would be as mean as you can get.

Nobody.....if he's truly our franchise quarterback.

Josh Freeman, RG3, Byron Leftwich, Nick Foles, David Carr, Rex Grossman, Mark Sanchez....we've dozens of one-hit wonders over the years.

So we're getting rid of our franchise QB for a 1st and a 3rd round pick? Not nearly enough compensation if you were even thinking about entertaining this trade.

Heck, I'd want both of Cleveland's 1st this year, and their 1st next year. That still probably isn't enough. We have a proven QB who has us sitting pretty at 11-2 and there's no way he goes for a 1st and a 3rd.

Exactly. A lot of people would have called the Commanders idiots had they traded Griffin after the first year.

Just because you are allowed to start a new thread, doesn't mean you should. Seriously, is there some kind of test we can make everyone take before they are allowed to start new threads? I'll take it. We can still let those who can't pass reply in other people's threads, but some people just shouldn't be allowed to start their own. Or maybe we can add a "Worst Thread Ever" button on every thread. If enough people click it the entire thing goes away, and whoever started it gets an electric shock through their keyboard or phone the next time they log in to the site.

You're just hoping and praying he's as bad, or worse than Griffin aren't you?

You poor guy.

It must suck not being able to enjoy watching a Cowboys player do well, and help the team do well, because your need to be right is more important.

People around the water cooler came up with this.

1. In the off-season seek a trade with the Browns.:

They get Dak
Dallas gets their 1st and 3rd
They get nothing else from Dallas.

They get what Jimmy Johnson thinks should have been the 1st over-all pick at a 4th round price. Dallas gets the future.

2. Romo returns to being the starter for a couple of years.

3. Dallas drafts - with the 1st over-all - a quarterback to sit and learn from Romo.

4. Dallas builds a defense with teeth, a replacement for Free, and a WR to cause Dez to stay interested.

I know this will get murdered here, but what do you think?
If you think Dak is your future why?
I dont know to explain the values

We have our QB of the future. Why would we trade him for an unknown that goes 1st overall. Look at how Dak compares to the QB's that were drafted in the 1st round THIS year; and many other seasoned pros. We can rebuild our defense without the extra 3rd. No reason to....

Well, Dakota is a bum so I'm for it. Ok now that the sarcasm has oozed out of my mouth what do they do if and when Romo gets hurt again for the remainder of next year. Go 4--12 because we've all seen the reality is not just anyone can go 12-4 or 11-2, the interim is we get to pick at #4. Keep Dakota and keep Romo is my solution.

Why would we trade Dak for basically another QB (#1 draft pick)?

I mean would you consider trading Dak for Goff right now? because potentially that is who you could get out there, unknowns.....

Sorry, that is a bad trade scenario.. As far as Romo goes, we have no more time to take chances. If we wouldn't of found Dak like we did, we would of had Sanchez and then who knows else if (not if, more like when) he doesn't work out. ughhh. Our best option for Romo after this year, thank you Romo so much, our best option after this year for Romo is finding a trade partner for him.

I'm actually on board here... maybe the new QB we select and groom will play with poise beyond his years, show an uncanny ability to lead, learn to protect the football and guide us to the playoffs his first year starting.. maybe even go 11-2 in his first 13 games? :flagwave:
