By Kelly Anderson

I know that this article is going to raise an eyebrow or two but if you simply look at the numbers that are out there, you will see that the Dallas CowboysTony Romo has been the NFL‘s most clutch quarterback for years now. Entering this season, his career fourth quarter passer rating of 102.2 was higher than that of the league’s poster boys Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. And after last night’s thrilling comeback against the New York Giants, he now has 25 fourth quarter comebacks and 29 game-winning drives to complete his resume.

Now his critics will say that his turnovers early in the game are the reason why he’s had so many comebacks, but that’s simply not true. Three of the last four years he has stellar seasons statistically where he’s thrown at least 30 touchdowns and had 10 or fewer interceptions. And those are really impressive numbers when you consider the fact that he has never had a consistent running game until last season with DeMarco Murray.

TicketCity.com has come up with an algorithm that helps them rank the most clutch fourth quarter quarterbacks in the NFL. This algorithm uses game-winning drives and touchdowns, fourth quarter comebacks and touchdown passes thrown per interceptions in the fourth quarter to see how each player matches up. And the results clearly show that Romo is head and shoulders above his peers...
