This been an incredible season of Dallas Cowboys football. Like many of you, I am terribly disappointed these Dallas Cowboys did not make the 'tournament'.

As I look back through them all, I honestly cannot recall a season that has been so entertaining, week in and week out, as this one; despite the fact we didnt make the playoffs or a superbowl run.

What THRILLING games?! Watching the development of future superstars DeMarcus Ware and Julius Jones. Seeing the foundation of what I believe will be a great team. And did I mention the THRILLING games?!!!

The saddest part of the season has to be the recognition of the supreme effort these guys gave, week in and week out; the devastating defeats and unbelievable victories, the emotional roller coaster we have ALL been on, and then at the end of it all to be denied entrance after such hard work and tearful passionate dedication.

The future looks bright boys, the future looks bright,
Though I hung my head at the end of the night.
I know deep in my heart, bleeding silver and blue
These next few years we'll behold something true.
And while today I can see a foundation is forming,
Just over horizon looms a glorious morning.
For a new day will dawn when they will all fear our might!
The future looks bright boys, the future looks bright!

I agree. In a few years, we'll be a force to reckon with. NFC East contenders.

I think this has been the most disappointing season for me since maybe Switzer's last year. Coming into the season, I hadn't been that excited about what the team might accomplish for a very long time. And after a slow start, and some losses that were very difficult to stomach, they seemed to be righting the ship some. But then they slammed head on into a wall. The way the team finished the season was horrible, the effort they put forth down the stretch in the most critical games was embarassing. This season has been a major failure. And that is not a knee jerk reaction, that's exactly what I would have said if someone had said at the beginning of the year that they would finish 9-7 and out of the playoffs. If it wasn't for being at the win over the Chiefs, my experience with this team this year would be the worst ever for me. And it almost still is since I had to endure the brainfart that was the MNF Commanders game.

I agree- this season has pretty much left me wiped out and questioning a lot of things as far as the future of this team is concerned and whether I even care about football in general anymore. I really have no excitement left and I could care less about the playoffs and will probably not even watch them at all. To me, this was a season to forget. After the 1997 debacle I at least had hope that things would get better- I don't really have any hope now. I'm just mad and frustrated I guess, and I'm sure it will wear off, but right now it's just sickening.
