Lot of hand wringing going on around here (justified) about the plight of our beloved Boys...last year going into the Washington game (underdogs as was the case this year), we got it going in the second half of that game and won behind a solid offensive performance and a defense that surprised by generating some turnovers, sacks, etc. Then we went on a completely unexpected roll that put us in the thick of the championship hunt.

Yeah yeah yeah...I know what the bloviating blowhards are gonna say...we had a much easier schedule, we surprised teams, we had Zeke playing out of his mind after last year's Commanders game...blah, blah, blah.

I ain't about hearing all that so save it!?!

I woke up with an unshakable belief that this team is about to go on roll...the likes of which will have all the prognosticators baffled and our opposition weeping and gnashing their teeth!?! All the while we'll be collectively giving Roger and his minions the existential finger!

I say we're going on a very Patriot-like (i.e., after losing Brady, Gronk, etc.) tear...like 5-1 over the next 6 games. Yeah...I might be a homer and yeah, this might defy all logic...but I am sick of feeling like we now have to kiss away the season!

By some miracle, our D is gonna step up (and the game will slow down for Jaylon), our coaches will make all the right calls (perhaps after suffering blows to the head - and no jackass, I didn't suffer one before writing this post!?!), and players we never expected to be big contributors will become our next David Irvings and Tank Lawrences (oh, and Cole Beasleys, who prior to last year was seen as just a nice little player).

Teams are taking us for granted now...thinking "oh no Zeke...no problem!?!"...they will be eating those words majorly over the next month and a half.

BRING IT!!!

I want whatever you had this morning, but I just don't see it happening :( I'll be rooting like crazy for them to get on a roll, but it just seems like such a difficult task without Zeke.

Love your optimism and hope you're right

I don't doubt that this team has the talent to do it but so did the teams last year and before in the playoffs

I have NO FAITH in the ability of Garrett to get this team ready

Like you (perhaps not to the same intensity level), I have been pretty critical of our HC...agree that this season should be his make or break as he is tested by the Zeke absence. He needs to show he can lead through adversity and achieve a level of success instead of getting a pass. Other teams have won with the loss of key players (shoot, Pats won a SB without Gronk)...Garrett has his chance to show us once and for all what he's made of.

This season is not his make or break
He is here for the foreseeable future

Because it’s a lengthy suspension to arguably the best player on our team, perhaps the NFL, he’ll get a pass.

I’m not calling for Jason’s head, but I too want to see if Jason can take this adversity and turn it into a non-factor.

if we go 2-2 the next 4 games I would be very happy. its a tough stretch. I think we may have a chance against KC, if we can run the ball. of course with Zeke out, it makes it tougher. I worry about containing Kelce, and their offense flows through him. their team speed is scary, so assignment and containment is key.

The fact that there is parity in the league gives me hope. Theres no team that is head and shoulders above the rest. Anyone can be beaten on any given sunday. The game is won and lost on the line of scrimmage and we happen to be ok in that aspect on both sides of the ball.
