SI's Pete Thamel spoke with one ACC coach who believes Louisville sophomore Lamar Jackson "has no shot at playing quarterback in the NFL. None."

It is worth noting that this coach faced Jackson this season (which almost certainly means Jackson torched the team's defense). "He can’t make the throws and can’t read coverages. He’s not going to have a chance," he concluded. These comments were made when the coach was asked about Deshaun Watson's ability, but it seems Jackson was the preferred topic. Jackson just turned 20 years old.

I agree with the assessment. He looked completely clueless in their bowl game and plateaued late in the year after a hot start.

By this time next year, he will be talked about like DeShaun Watson.

Watch Watson tonight..
1 read and the ball is out.

That is the norm going forward. Welcome to the new college football QBs and the soon to be NFL. Wentz was basically a one read and ball out QB this year.

I think it's still too early say w/Jackson.

That said, he'd make an incredible WR prospect; I've likened him to a bigger Peter Warwick in terms of his loose hips and playmaking ability with the ball in his hands.

That's my thought as well. If it's recommended to him to switch positions, I wonder if he'll go the Terrelle Pryor route or the Pat White route.

The league is full of players that had no shot at the NFL.
