Accept this franchise is done for the next 15 years

I'll be 33 at the end of December. Football is supposed to be fun they say. It's not for me right now.
Football is fun but the desperation of this franchise is such a turn off . Creepy old billionaire in the shadows in the rafters of the stadium slamming the table with his fist when a rookie gunner gets a costly first quarter penalty

It ends up looking like escape from New York or something

I've watched the Florida Panthers go from the joke of the NHL, to a top tier franchise destination in my 25 years of watching the NHL.

They got rid of the clownshow owners, and a GM who couldn't properly evaluate the players he drafted.
New owner pumped money into the personnel and after a few years stepped back completely and let his GM spend to the cap. Said GM hit on trades, hit on Free agents, built a winning culture.
180 change compared to Dallas Cowboys, where the owner/GM thinks everything he touches is gold, refuses to use free agency, waits for deadlines to make deals, rather be relevant than win.

I've accepted the Cowboys won't win till the ownership group is gone.

As a dodger fan, everything about this franchise screams loser. No player cares, they pay below average players top of market, let top quality walk. There is no culture of winning or pride, its about the arrival and style versus the finish.

I called 2-15 early in the season with my only caveat being Aubrey could hit 5 70 yard FGs in a game (i.e. NYG game).

No one here watches decent talent and teams - its always "the opp played their best" - No this franchise is a stone cold loser and if spend $1 on it until Dak, CD, Stephen Jones are gone shows you might as well venmo it FTX

I am relishing in this franchise demise.
oh dude, glad you joined the club. I have come to that conclusion for a couple of years now

I’m going with 30. We will reach the Super Bowl in Year 31. Mark your calendars!

They will never win anything again, not even a wildcard game or division title. They are done..

I accept we are done for the next couple years. But didn't we always know that? We are a team in transition. At least, I knew it. That's why I been saying we are a 6 win team since last April.

The Dodgers went 32 seasons between the Kirt Gibson and Covid WS. They’ve now bought a couple more with a 321m bankroll and some Japanese ringers!

Stat of the Day:

The Cowboys have not had back to back losing seasons since they went 5-11 for three straight years from 2000-02.

They will need to go at least 5-3 the rest of the season to finish 8-8-1 or better to avoid breaking this 23 year streak.

To see Demarcus Lawrence and Micah leave and be like lol Dallas sucks definitely was a moment

I think the franchise just gets obsessed with superbowl that it’s impossible for everyone to just lock in and focus on the reps and joy of the game

Maybe a Super Bowl will come maybe it won’t but don’t rush the journey bc you’re staring at a mapquest
Nope. There is banality in "every teams goal is a championship". But watching well run franchises like Dodger, Eagles, Chiefs, Indiana, etc. there is tangible structure, action and accountability that permeates all levels of the org. There are reports released here in LA about the Dodger scouts alerting the team of the risk a ball gets stuck in the fence at Toronto (and it happened against the reds this year).

Here, the GMs day is closing natural gas deals, couple radio spots, trip to the art museum, get drunk, watch some film on veteran S, OLB, schedule hunting trip, close a Pizza sponsorship, assess weakness along the Dline against the run, have dinner get drunk again, figure a way to get his Great grandchild a VP of Concessions at the stadium, etc

Mark Walter and Guggenheim bought it from Frank McCourt (almost a Jerry clone). Since then its 13 years of post season (2nd longest in history). They have been to 5 WS and won 3. but thanks for proving the point

What point?
You can buy championships in an uncapped league and the leagues highest payroll.
I grew up a Dodgers fan. It wasn’t something to be proud of in 88 when they won it with mostly players developed in their league renowned farm system and pitching.
This **** now is just sad an embarrassing!

LOL. Cope more. There was no cap in the NFL when the cowboys won 3/4 in the 90s and had the highest payroll. I guess those were embarrassing....

And the Dodger still have a top farm system. Will Klein came out and pitched 4 shutouts innings after sitting on the couch the 1st 3 playoff rounds. Miguel Rojas won game 7, taught Mooke SS. What an embarrassing post from you

Lol,
Dallas mostly built that team through the draft, trades and plan b!
Many still on rookie contracts.
Not a bunch of bought FAs and ringers!

Charles Haley and Deion Sanders say "Hello". Sorry your baseball team are losers that spend 30% of revenue on players

The Dodgers play in a league without a hard cap. Much easier to acquire the best talent when you’re allowed to out spend your opponents. Not to take credit away as they are deserving champs. But yes, I agree that until the Jones family is no longer associated with this franchise they will wreak of mediocrity and under achievement. Been a fan since 1972 and I’m at a point where I’m thinking that perhaps there are better ways to spend a few hours every Sunday.

Yes that’s why I said the Sodgers are a deserving champ. Out spending doesn’t ensure a title but it sure doesn’t hurt. And by the way what a great series it was! Had me on the edge of my seat whole way through.

They've won their division 12 of the last 13 years....the only year that they didn't they lost by 1 game....almost EVERY MLB owner or owners group is worth a Billion +.....quit crying....spend money and you make money....why do you think the Dodgers draw 4 million + every year???
