I think Ellis and McBriar are definatly deserving. I know that Roy has plenty of supporters on this board but honestly, I don't think there is any way he should have gone this year. I doubted last year but this year, I just think somebody is getting jobbed at SS.

The one guy I would have liked to have seen go that did not make it (assuming Ellis and McBriar are in) is Columbo. He has really had an outstanding season IMO. The most solid of all our OLs. He has played hurt and he has done a great job against all comers IMO. I wished he would have made it.

the other cowboy i would like to see get in is larry allen

Barber wasn't even leading the poll so what's that mean?

That means his peers and coaches around the league, who obviously respects Barber enough to select him.

Maybe they think if he got 25 carries a game he'd be one of the best backs in the league.

Everyone raves about him and you have to game plan for his toughness.

And remember no less a genius than Belichick said Barber was a "great" back.

When have I ever "shilled" for anyone?

What I posted was a fact. Last year, he was the No. 2 strong safety. This year, he's again the No. 2 strong safety, if the DMN report is accurate. And he would not have been the No. 2 strong safety if the coaches and players hadn't voted for him, too. It's pretty simple.

Just because a lot of fans love to criticize and blame him for every little thing -- no matter who actually is responsible -- doesn't mean that he's not still one of the best strong safeties in the NFL and considered such by opposing players and coaches.

This place is too nuts for logic/facts.

I've never seen anything like this and it is during one of the best seasons in the history of the team.

Because oh-so-many of the Roy apologists threw out his Pro-Bowls as a sure sign of his greatness, and now they don't have that excuse anymore either.

But wait, isn't he leading the team in tackles? LOL

Stats, schmats.

Instead of LEADING fan voting, his peers - coaches/players - didn't deem him worthy. Guess they're haters too.

So now, can we focus on the REAL players on this team? Congrats to the electees.

was this really needed?

btw, Romo not starting is a sham

cause i used to be a huge fan of a very good player in roy williams. i'm no longer a fan of player who has stopped prodicing and playing at a high level. he stopped playing at a high level after he got his big contract.

so you went from being a huge fan, to you downright hating the person?

I don't understand this

I would be interested to see how many of those bashing Roy, are defending JJ and his horrible attempt as an NFL running back. The bad part is that, with all his flaws, there is no one on the team that can do half of what Roy can do in the run game. So like it or not, he's the best we have got. At least if we got rid of JJ we all know we have some one to not only fill in, but one who can do the job better.

I'm thrilled that MB3 made it, but I fear it's going to cost the Cowboys big $$$$. Dallas may view him at a RBBC back, but someone's going to pay him like a premiere back.

Typical for you.

Let me spell it slowly, it's called an A-N-A-L-O-G-Y.

Thanks for remaining a charter member of the useless Roy butt-kissing club.

It's a pretty bad analogy. Milli Vanilli lip synched and surely would not have received a Grammy had this been known at the time of voting.

Your analogy would be a good one if RW had some unfair advantage that no one knew about - like taking HGH or something along those lines.

Glad to see TNew finally made it. Kudos to Barber for making it despite splitting so much time with JJ.

Nice job guys! Now finish this season strong and make it count for something!

Newman deserved to get in based on previous snubs alone.

Roy on the other hand...ehhh.

It won't be for another season at least. If we don't give him the first and third round tender, or extend him before RFA hits, it's pretty stupid.

=Tampa Bay's defense is ranked 3 in the league, yet not even one player made it to the probowl. To compare, Tampa Bay gives up 174 passing yards a game, whereas Dallas gives up 217(ranked 16), which is a huge difference. Tampa Bay's pass defense is ranked 2 in the league, only behind Indianapolis. Ronde Barber should go over Newman.

The biggest reason Dallas allows more passing yardage is because its opponents attempt almost six more passes per game. (The Bucs have allowed 136 more rushing yards than Dallas mostly because its opponent have run the ball more.) Dallas' offense scores a lot, so opponents usually have to pass a lot to catch up. The Bucs don't score a lot and are behind a lot more, so their opponents run the ball more.

Tampa Bay's pass defense allows a higher completion rate and a higher passer rating than Dallas' pass defense does, and it has fewer interceptions. Dallas' secondary has 18 interceptions. Tampa Bay's has only 11. Newman has four interceptions. Ronde Barber has only two. And Dallas has two players (Hamlin and Henry) with more interceptions than anyone on the Bucs.

Why? So that someone can pick up cheap sacks?

Unsure whether this was addressed anywhere in this really long thread, but what a stupid post. Cheap sacks? Do you watch football?

If anything, Ware had 1-2 'cheap sacks' against the eagles when they neglected to put ANYONE on him.

Make that 12 Pro Bowlers for the Cowboys. SS Roy Williams is in line make his fifth consecutive appearance, replacing deceased Commanders safety Sean Taylor.

Woodson would become the 20th player to go to five Pro Bowls as a Cowboy. The previous members of that club: DT Bob Lilly (11), OL Larry Allen (10), DB Mel Renfro (10), DT Randy White (9), RB Emmitt Smith (8), QB Troy Aikman (6), S Cliff Harris (6), LB Chuck Howley (6), OG Nate Newton (6), OG John Niland (6), RB Don Perkins (6), QB Roger Staubach (6), OT Rayfield Wright (6), DE George Andrie (5), DB Cornell Green (5), WR Michael Irvin (5), LB Lee Roy Jordan (5), TE Jay Novacek (5) and S Darren Woodson (5).

What a joke.

The guy cannot cover OL and he is going to the Pro Bowl?

I wouldn't call those cheap sacks. Isn't Ware suppose to find right match up or find empty lane in order to sack QBs? It looks like he did a good job of finding a space which enabled him to get to the QB quicker.

If you are using your criteria for a "cheap sack" then all defensive players get those, heck even DBs get those when they sneak in on the scrimmage and sacks the QBs without being touched.
