Did you somehow miss the part earlier in this thread where this ******** argument was retired?

a 5-time Pro-Bowler...

So are you of the opinion that Sean Taylor shouldn't have gotten any votes after he died? Do you think they should have kept him off the ballot?

Well, the problem with that comment is, Roy (not Bigby or other Safeties) was good enough to take ST's place according to Coaches and Players.

I agree with all of them, however I am disappointed Ellis did not make the squad.
Agreed. Ellis is having a great season and has come back from a huge injury to become a force.

Allright then, Ill just take away the interceptions that were thrown directly at Roy in garbage time of the Dolphins and Bears game and call it even.

Thrown directly at Roy? Did you not watch those games? Neither of those passes were thrown "directly at Roy," and the one against Chicago might have been the most difficult interception anyone on the team has made this season.

I'd much prefer 5-10 INTs at crucial points in games (actually game changing) over 1 that looked difficult or stylish. I don't care if he did a pirouette in the middle of the pick, because there are no style points.

Both INTS were with us up by at least 17 points with less than four minutes left in the games — not exactly "game changing" INTs for such a catalytic player.

Let's not make more of his INTs than they are - garbage time.

Did you even read what I was responding to?

My post had nothing to do with whether Roy's interceptions were "game-changing," they had to do with JustSayNotoTO's claim that both of his interceptions were "thrown directly at Roy," which isn't true on either one of them. Saying that is as asinine as the when some people claimed the game-winning interception for a touchdown that Roy had against the Eagles was thrown "right into his chest." Some people are either blind or idiots. Or both.

Andre Gurode, are you kidding me? I've never seen a center mess up so many snaps.

That's because Romo makes it look like a called play. :D

You want 5-10 INTs at crucial points in games in one season?

Standards are a tad high don't ya think?

Is that your game?

I don't agree with you on Roy, so you need to call me or "imply" that I'm an idiot.

As I've stated many times, I actually respect the majority of your opinions, expect when it comes to Roy, but perhaps you should consider that I'm actually a fan of the Dallas Cowboys team, so we have a ton in common.

You wanna call me an idiot, then knock yourself out.

Give me a break, man. I was simply stating that for such a "game changer," he pretty much doesn't change anything, outside of his oh-so-overrated tackle stats.

OK, now it's obvious that you don't read anything before you post.

The only people I said were idiots (or blind, or both) were those who claimed Roy's game-winning interception for a TD against the Eagles was thrown "right into his chest."

Are you one of those people?

If not, then I wasn't implying you were an idiot (or blind, or both). If it is, then you might want to watch the play again, because you're wrong.

Well, why don't you enlighten us...

First, why does he have to be a "game changer" in order to gain your respect? And second, what are your criteria for being a "game changer?"

Is Terrence Newman a "game changer?"

Anyone that has read any of the million threads on Roy has seen apologist after apologist claim that Roy is so great because he's a game changer.

I say, show me.

Not his rookie season, not five years ago, not last year. When has Roy, the highest paid defensive player, made a game changing play (for the Cowboys, btw)? The nearest thing I can recall was a third down tackle in the Commanders game, which was a good play. See, I can actually be objective.

INTs? Garbage time. Sacks? None. Forced fumbles? None.

Should he be placed in a burlap sack and drowned in a river with Andy Reid's sons and a litter of unwanted kittens? Maybe. But he did have that nice hit on Ryan Grant.

even his nice hits are assisted tackles. bradie james was making the tackle on grant and akin was making the tackle on jacobs in the 2nd giants game.

See, that's the point for me.

No, he shouldn't be drowned in a river, but he sure as heck shouldn't be held in such high regard for his "great play," when you have the likes of Ware, Romo, Witten, etc. on the team - REAL game changers.
