Jessica to Tony: "Dad and I were wondering when this trip to Hawaii is? He wants to know how many days to pack for."

It is only appropriate that our best playmaking safety goes to Hawaii.
He's been solid, but his name doesn't pop up when I'm thinking free safeties.

what is it with you and safeties?
What's it to you?

I think Hamlin has been better than Roy this year. So if one of them was to go, I would have picked Ham.

Really though what we are seeing is that Ham got Taylor's spot.
It's just as good as Hamlin has been, it never crossed my mind that he was having a pro bowl year. Good, but not great.

Newman didn't even have a good year by his standards, but since he was long overdue, I'm ok with him going.

It depends on what other runningbacks from the NFC were selected before I judge the Barber pick.

Just curious...I predicted that you'd move on to Akin Ayodele but I guess I was wrong.

And THEN, we'll hear how great he is...whatever.

His peers don't think he's worthy, so I guess I should listen to guys like Theogt, Zrin, and Adam as to how good he is. They have stats to prove it...lol.

THEY must know something we all don't.

Hamlin has 5 interceptions, which is pretty good. And he's made more plays this year than Roy.

How the hell did the Best Punter in the World not make the Pro Bowl?

And Bradie James had a Pro Bowl year. I guess he got beat out by the bigger names. If Urlacher made it over him, I'm gonna be pissed.

Why? So that someone can pick up cheap sacks?

Be a nice gesture as Ellis is on the sunset of his career and is unlikely to ever make it.

I think they feed off each other well and at least some of DWare's success is based on having Ellis out there as a threat as well... vise versa too.

I think I read that one of the beat reporters said Bradie was one year away. Usually players get one year of notice before they finally get in.

Congrats to Marion. It's amazing that our "starter" didn't make it and our backup did. Where's the logic?

Way to go TNew! 'bout time!

Congrats to "The Hammer" Hamlin. He's slowly moving up on my list as a favorite defensive player.

Why is there a Roy vs. Hamlin discussion? They weren't even in the same voting category. It wasn't an either/or situation.

By the way, as a coverage safety, obviously Hamlin > Roy.

As a strong safety, though, Roy >>>>>>> Hamlin.

But that's why the play different positions.

Because oh-so-many of the Roy apologists threw out his Pro-Bowls as a sure sign of his greatness, and now they don't have that excuse anymore either.

But wait, isn't he leading the team in tackles? LOL

Stats, schmats.

Instead of LEADING fan voting, his peers - coaches/players - didn't deem him worthy. Guess they're haters too.

So now, can we focus on the REAL players on this team? Congrats to the electees.

He must have made his previous four probowls because he was worthy of it. Roy may have some problems in coverage but make no mistake he is an impact football player. Not every player can make the probowl and he did not have a probowl year but to laugh at a Dallas Cowboy for not making the probowl is Ridulous.
