Video: Acho Breaking Down the Defense

Maybe he can break down Joy Taylor play by play. He's the expert, so I've heard.

And here I was thinking Parsons and Diggs were the only problems on defense. Go figure.

Like it's some mystery that the Cowboys are being outsmarted on every single play.

Not only do we need a new Defensive coordinator, we need a whole new defensive coaching staff. Considering how horrible the defense is just bring in a new coaching staff across the board from the the top down.

I'm a Buckeyes fan and they have Mike Patricia as their DC. They run all kinds of different looks, frequently change coverages after the snap, run blitz schemes, etc. and confuse the hell out of opponents. Its funny to watch how much lower quality the NFL Dallas Cowboys are tactically.
And he is doing that with college players.

We have grown men on defense who can eat sleep and breathe football. Yet we run a super basic defense that always have coverage breaks and allows multiple big plays. I hated the hire since we announce he was going to be the DC. I knew going to a zone heavy scheme was not going to work when we signed and drafted corners who are way better in man than zone.

How many different coordinators and still the same
Well technically look at the defensive coordinators we've hired lol
Dan Quinn is the best DC we've had in YEARS. He left to become a head coach which is understandable. But other than Rob Ryan every other DC we had was never a DC again after leaving the Cowboys. This list isn't pretty.

Matt Eberflus - Will probably have the worst ranked defense in Cowboys history lol. Everyone looks lost out there. TBD.

Mike Zimmer - was basically 1 foot in and 1 foot out. Jerry probably convinced him to give it a chance for 1 year. Welp after that 1 year Zimmer bailed/retired.

Dan Quinn - might have been the best DC. Left and became HC of the Commanders.

Mike Nolan - enough said #bum. Never a DC again after leaving the Cowboys.

Rob Marinelli - Wasn't bad. He was pretty decent for us. Never was a Full DC again after leaving the Cowboys.

Monte Kiffin - 1 and done. #bum - one of our worst defenses every only to be topped by the current defense. Let that sink in lol. Never was a NFL DC again after leaving the Cowboys.

Roby Ryan - Our defense was ok at best. About middle of the pack. After he left the Cowboys he became DC of the Saints and moved them to the 3-4 defense.

Yes, in the Texas Longhorns have one of the best defensive coordinators in the country and it shows right game one ,Texas lost but that score was 14 to 7 that's two defensive coordinators knowing what they're doing...

I don't bother watching. I just want Eberwuss fired. It's like listening to a broken record over and over.

Eberwuss flat out cannot coach a defense. He just can't. He is an absolute failure.

Just fire him. Even my pet cat can coach better than he can.
..yep, after this last game, I'm at lost.

Why he wasn't let go on Monday, is beyond me.

How much worse can it get? Is milllion dollar question.

I would like him as a DC. But I doubt he would want to work with Jerry and his family :(

We need a DC like this:

Matt Patricia's defensive scheme is defined by its versatility and multiplicity, adapting to his personnel rather than sticking to a single base front. Key elements include using a variety of fronts like the "penny odd" and "double lag," complex pre-snap disguises, and advanced stunts to pressure the quarterback while keeping player responsibilities relatively simple. Historically, his schemes have featured a bend-but-don't-break philosophy with a heavy reliance on man coverage, particularly Cover 1.
